Alright tennis lovers, qualifiers at #Wimbledon are underway! Can world number ones Iga Swiatek and Jannik Sinner win on grass? Will Naomi Osaka make a big comeback? Will Djokovic even play? This year, #IBM will serve up player stories with #watsonx by using a model trained and tuned in #watsonx.ai. The model will extract and summarize relevant data to generate stories in natural language, tuned to the style and vocabulary of Wimbledon. #watsonx will also provide match insights using AI-powered fact sheets that use sophisticated data analytics and natural language processing to distil millions of individual data points into meaningful insights about every singles match – including a player’s likelihood to win their upcoming match-up. I love this time of year 😀

#VR is not a new technology, but it has improved in recent times to show some exciting new applications to engage sports fans worldwide. We have looked at some examples of applications that bring sports fans closer to the action or are simply for gaming. With new platforms and applications emerging, the social and technological barriers for VR adoption are beginning to break down. This opens up incredible opportunities for sports clubs to engage with fans around the world and even create social VR experiences many miles from the stadiums. VR will continue to recreate the atmosphere and excitement of sports and will open new markets and ideas in the future. WIMBLEDON 2024 I was seeing Wimbeldon 2024 and an thing came to my mind that we don't have that sports infrastructure to support our country's sportsperson in an event like that. There should be some system or organized way of handling things in my opinion. State level tournaments could be held, so generate public interest in sports. TIER 1 CITIES - 6 Tennis Courts per city. TIER 2 CITIES -4 Tennis Courts per city. TIER 3 CITIES -2 Tennis Courts per city. It is not like players cannot come from Tier 3 Cities, as the players are statistically more which will balance things up roughly. The Tennis Courts could be in private clubs, schools, colleges etc.

This is a different but great example of how #GenAI can be of use in the sports industry: ahead of the historic Wimbledon Gran Slam, IBM and The All England Lawn Tennis Club are launching a new generative AI software using Watsonx, IBM's Data and AI platform. The goal of this initiative: Allow Tennis fans around the world to precisely follow the leading players' progress through Championship rounds, through an interactive and personalized platform experience. With the current dynamics of AI legislations, and the rising ethical & societal issues we're exposed to, it's interesting to the tennis community ( Fans, Coaches, players alike) seems very optimistic on new technologies' impact and its use in the different aspects of the sport.
