Steve Sarowitz’s Post

The Gate is the first movie I ever made and is still the movie I am most proud of making. It not only gives you a good introduction into the early history of the Baha'i Faith, it also helps us understand the age we are living in and the forces of light and darkness that are continually clashing in front of our eyes. The Gate led me on a 3 year journey to make the first documentary about a Messenger of God in world history. Because previous Messengers like Jesus and Buddha lived so many years ago, we don't have enough information about Their lives to make a true documentary about Them. I am grateful to the amazing experts who so graciously donated their time to this project. Our director, Bob Hercules, and our co-producer and co-writer, Ed Price, will joining me in a Q & A after the movie (This Thursday, July 11th at 7:00 PM).

Bahaollah (whom you call the prophet of god) believed that all prophets from Abraham to Muhammad were all from a same source and religions of the world come from the same Source and are in essence successive chapters of one religion from God. It is exactly was Islam says and Bahaollah who was a Muslim insisted on this. Bahaollah was a thinker not a prophet Like Abraham, Jesus,... To bring a new chapter to religion. If Bahaollah believed in Islam it is a basic belife that Muhammad is the last prophet of god. Bahaollah's beliefs are fine but being the massenger of god is another thing, otherwise you can say Gandhi, nelson Mandella were prophets of god.

The Gate is so interesting and profound! (Masterly directed by Bob Hercules). The ending is so dynamic (and tragic) and inspiring!!! Good job - and happy it led you to THE BIZ to tell more inspirational stories. 🎥✨💫
