To all those who have been curiously messaging me in my DMs, here are your answers - 🤞 Statistics show that almost 𝟭 𝗶𝗻 𝟮 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. It is also believed that 50% of people with cancer are afraid to tell their employers about their diagnosis. 🤞 The badge is a symbol of support to all those who are feeling unseen or unsupported at their workplaces. I am proud to be working at Starcom Australia and Publicis Groupe ANZ, who wholeheartedly support this initiative of #WorkingWithCancer and are driving a positive change to end the stigma. 🤞 I have already gone over my 50 km walk/run challenge goal in March as a part of the Cancer Council Australia's #TheMarchCharge initiative. The last I checked, I had walked close to 𝟵𝟬 𝗸𝗺 already and we are not even half way through March. November is quickly coming to an end, which also means we’re wrapping up Men’s Health Awareness Month. Many of our Practus team members are growing out their beards for No Shave November while others are participating in activities to promote awareness through Movember. Overall, the main reason this month exists is to reduce the stigma around talking about men’s health. Men live an average of 5 years less than women, and part of that is due to preventable deaths related to prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. So, in this final week of November, talk. Talk about your health. Talk about your loved one’s health. Talk to your doctor. If you’re 45 years old, you should already be having discussions of PSA testing with your doctor to screen for prostate cancer. Early detection is key to improving the impact of treatment. ✨MO YOUR OWN WAY ✨ There are many ways to better men’s health, and if you believe doing your own thing is it , we’re 100% getting behind you - It all started in 2003 by two Australian friends, Travis Garone and Luke Slattery. - Movember became a dying trend , 30 guys were willing to take up the challenge to grow their moustaches for cancer awareness & mens health issues. - In 2010 , Movember officially hit the motherland of South Africa in partnership with CANSA ( cancer association of South Africa) - Movember has raised over over R5 Billion in support of men’s health issues. - On South Africa, 75% of suicides are male. - Prostate cancer is the number 1 cancer affecting men in South Africa - Testicular cancer affect 1 out of 270 men globally - Movember is ranked in the top 100 NGOs (charity) in the world, based on three primary criteria: Impact, Innovation and Sustainability. According to Wikipedia, Movember is a “combination of the two words, “mo” for moustache and “November”. It is an annual event that involves men growing their moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, more specifically for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide.” 💫HOST A MO-MENT 💫 Make having a good time a goal and you won’t go wrong. 1 week of the fake mo at work! 💪 Whilst this has created plenty of conversation to date and has made a lot of people laugh, Men's Health is no joke. Men’s health is in crisis. Men are dying on average 4.5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons. A growing number of men – around 10.8M globally – are facing life with a prostate cancer diagnosis. Globally, testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men. And across the world, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 69% of all suicides. The Movember foundation provides funding to several men's health initiatives and programmes which help to work towards reducing inequities in men's health. It's #Movember this month, and we're dedicated to joining the Mo Community, raising awareness, and supporting this crucial cause.   Did you know that 1 in 5 Australian men will face a prostate cancer diagnosis in their lifetime?   Men are, on average, passing away 4 years earlier than women, often due to preventable reasons.   Moreover, over 6 men die by suicide each day in Australia, with males comprising 75% of these tragic cases worldwide.   Every year, we say goodbye to too many brothers, fathers, mates, grandfathers, partners, husbands, and sons due to mental health issues and cancers. Did You Know....November is Movember! Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide. It is a portmanteau of the Australian-English diminutive word for moustache, "mo", and "November". The Movember Foundation runs the Movember charity event, housed at Movember.com. The goal of Movember is to "change the face of men's health." By encouraging men (whom the charity refers to as "Mo Bros") to get involved, Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths. Besides annual check-ups, the Movember Foundation encourages men to be aware of family history of cancer and to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Using the moustache as the driving symbol of the movement, Movember focuses on the three key areas of prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. Since inception, the Movember Foundation has raised $837 million and funded over 1,200 projects in more than 20 countries. Since 2004, the Movember Foundation charity has run Movember events to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues, such as prostate cancer and depression, in Australia and New Zealand. In 2007, events were launched in Ireland, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Spain, the United Kingdom, Israel, South Africa, Taiwan and the United States. As of 2011, Canadians were the largest contributors to the Movember charities of any nation. In 2010, Movember merged with the testicular cancer event Tacheback. Interesting Facts About Movember 1. It did not start in the U.S. – in fact, it began in Melbourne, Australia in 2003. 2. It went from 30 mustaches to 5 million since it started. 3. It is observed in more than 20 different countries. 4. It was first created to celebrate a man’s favorite form of facial hair and to encourage other men to grow a mustache for a month. 5. It has raised awareness and funding for more than 1,200 different men’s health projects. 6. It is the only global charity focused solely on men’s health. 7. It has raised about $60 million in the U.S. for research and over $80 million in Canada! 8. It aims to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25% by 2030.

𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐀𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬: If you're in good health, without chronic conditions like diabetes or hypertension, you could be an ideal donor. 2. 𝐀𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞: Donors typically range from 18-55 years old, but assessments are done on a case-by-case basis. 3. 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐁𝐌𝐈: A healthy Body Mass Index (BMI) is important to minimize complications during and after surgery. 4. 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐒𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐫: Non-smokers or those willing to quit are preferred to ensure optimal liver health. 5.
