ST is taking another major step in its Silicon Carbide (SiC) strategy. ST has recently announced that it will build the world’s first fully integrated silicon carbide facility, the Silicon Carbide Campus, in Catania, Italy to serve as the center of ST’s global SiC ecosystem. "The fully integrated capabilities unlocked by the campus will contribute significantly to ST’s SiC technology leadership for automotive, industrial and cloud infrastructure customers through the next decades. The scale and synergies offered by this project will enable ST to better innovate with high-volume manufacturing capacity, to the benefit of our European and global customers as they transition to electrification and seek more energy efficient solutions to meet their decarbonization goals." - Jean-Marc Chery, President and Chief Executive Officer of STMicroelectronics. We are thankful for the support from the EU and Italy to help strengthen the European semiconductor industry’s competitiveness and to endorse and sustain our current and future investment initiatives in Europe. These investments are key to create a positive effect on the economic activities in the semiconductor value chain in Europe and to contribute to the green transition by mastering key enabling technologies and products, in collaboration with our customers. #STMicroelectronics #SiliconCarbide #SiC
