5 Reasons to NOT Hire MAGNETIC (CONTENT-LED SALES) to drive sales. 1. You insist on outdated SDR models to drive new revenue, even when you’ve failed at it time and time again 2. You believe in pressuring people to listen to your pitch 3. You know more about your “brand” then your customers day to day 4. You claim the CRM data is “up to date” yet it’s not “working” 5. You believe that likes > connecting. The best business is done behind closed doors. (Or, the DM.) #sales #b2bsales #demandgeneration #salesdevelopment #founder

Turn strangers into customers | Outbound & Sales Coach, Trainer, and SKO Speaker for SaaS sales teams
My 2024 New Year’s resolutions for B2B sales: 🎉 More. Women. In. Sales. Leadership. Positions. 🎉 Ditto for people of color 🎉 AEs won’t be punished with an increased quota when they close a few massive deals in the first half of the year 🎉 Sales teams ditch these words and phrases: #1, all-in-one, award-winning, single source of truth, and anything else that screams “PLEASE BUY FROM ME!” 🎉 SDRs won’t get passed up for promotion when achieving quota without hitting activity targets 🎉 More sales executives participating in large deals with reps (and actually adding value) 🎉 More front-line sales leaders making cold calls with their reps 🎉 $500 or more that every rep can put towards professional development 🎉 More sales teams using Orum to make cold calling worth their time (this sh*t works) 🎉 Less fear of cold calling prospect’s mobile numbers 🎉 We stop blaming the economy for poor sales performance 🎉 Sales leaders aren’t afraid to closed/lost deals sitting in their pipeline for 60+ days without movement or next steps 🎉 Front-line leaders stop expecting reps to respond to their Slack messages within 5 min. 🎉 We stop arguing about whether cold email/calling works 🎉 We stop talking about how AI will replace B2B salespeople (it won’t) 🎉 People stop hating on reps for posting content here on LinkedIn ============ What’s on your list? 👇 Let me know in the comments #Sales #Prospecting #Outbound

When your sales don’t work like they used to before. A few years ago, outbound sales was a numbers game—the more emails and calls, the more leads you'd generate. But people caught on quickly to this ‘shotgun sales’ approach, flooding your email and phone inboxes. We've all hit "ignore" on those at some point, haven’t we? Times have changed. Outbound sales have become more personalized over the past few years - beyond just inserting first names and company names. The most effective reps were getting creative with their outreach, tailoring each touchpoint to truly resonate. Lately, a common theme has been signal-based prospecting. If companies are hiring for certain roles or have made news headlines, SDRs use that as a hook to start conversations. An intro like "I saw you're hiring a new VP of Sales—I'd love to explain how our CRM could streamline that team's workflows" is far more engaging than a generic pitch. Outbound sales are never static; new "game-changers" always emerge as buyers become overwhelmed with old, broken-record tactics. So stay on top of your game and evolve your strategies accordingly. And watch the news from time to time 😀 #OutboundSales #SalesStrategy #PersonalizedMarketing #B2B #Sales

9 thoughts on the current state of sales (for beginners) 1. The phone works (maybe better than ever) 2. DM’s get meetings (if your copy is concise) 3. Short emails work (55 words or less) 4. Soft CTA’s (interested?) 5. Connecting w/ 100+ new LinkedIn contacts a week (that meet your ICP) 6. Creating content on LinkedIn / Twitter (helps prove to your ICP you’re an expert) 7. 3x pipeline minimum (if your close rate is below 30%, you’ll need more) 8. Pipeline building is on your (no one is coming to help you) 9. Activities matter (most don't make enough calls, send enough emails or have enough conversations) P.S. Curious what you would add. Let me know below. 👇 Also, if you have questions, I always do my best to answer. Ask anything related to sales or pipeline building. BTW; I'm Nate. A couple of weeks ago, we launched Leadective to help B2B businesses effortlessly sell to new hires and promotions. Interestingly (or not), three out of our first five buyers had recently started their positions 😅 Selling to prospects who had recently switched jobs was one of the most effective sales plays I used for outbound prospecting when I was working in sales – especially with previous clients. It's quite surprising to see how many sales teams still haven't automated job change signals and miss out on the most straightforward deals. B2B software businesses should, at the very least, monitor job changes for their existing clients. We’re currently offering free trials at Leadective if you want to stop leaving easy opportunities on the table. Feel free to ping me for a discussion! #sales #outboundsales #saas #accountexecutive #sdr

Most staffing firms are not using automation properly for sales. Here's the key: Cover your buckets Salespeople are hunters or gatherers, but they are not waiters. You've heard time kills deals. But not just deals. It kills the attention span. This is where automation can shine. Make sure you're covered in these five areas that sales usually doesn't have time to touch: 1. Cold prospects 2. Passive prospects 3. Cross sell current clients 4. Inactive client check in 5. Dormant wake up Have these run in the background and watch as activity continues on your behalf driving more awareness and action when needed. When clients reach back out, it's unplanned splendor! #marketingautomation #staffing #sales #clientmarketing
