Bid Coach 🦊 15+ years of helping SMEs win bids & tenders 🥇 Learn Bid Skills to win more contracts | Bid Support | Bid Training | Bid Writing | Bid Review | Bid Development I Tender Troubleshooting
SOCIAL VALUE SYNCHRONICITY 🔁 Nearly all tenders now include questions around social value, which aim to understand how the bidding organisation adds value to the communities in which they operate. Buyers want to work with a supplier who shares their values and which is committed to creating positive local impacts, as well as being able to deliver their project successfully. Social value can include economic, environmental and social factors and often includes a broader recognition of the impact/s that the procurement itself may have in society. SMS Group | Ship Repair | Marine Interiors | Marine Engineering | SC SQEP is evidencing their commitment to social value through a variety of projects, and I'm delighted to be supporting their initiative to engage with, and upskill, their local supply chain. My Bid Skills Workshops will help specialist suppliers and contractors bid for work with SMS Group, and support their delivery of a significant pipeline of works at Devonport Dockyard, for Babcock. My workshops will include content on how bidders can demonstrate social value in their bids for SMS Group, creating some lovely synchronicity around this project. ➡️ Please DM me to register your interest in attending the SMS Bid Skills workshops. #bidwriting #bidskills #socialvalue #plymouth #devon #tenders
As part of our WMPP framework within HMNB Devonport led by Dave Chaffers, Ben Rowe, Paul Downer and Marc (Jooles) Andrew we’re pleased to support numerous #SocialValue initiatives. To include (but not limited to) grassroots rugby, a bid writing workshop - to be hosted by Naomi Fox-Smith, and mock interviews at Ivybridge Community College. #community #engagement #SMS.

🌟 🏏 Calling all changemakers 🌟 🏑 Together, we have the power to pay it forward. 🌟 🎾 If you know me, you'll know I have that fatal combination; I have 'ideas' and a hard time saying 'No'. So, when the opportunity arose to do a bit of local fundraising by running a half-marathon, I couldn't resist. What was I thinking, right? Now, I'm not much of a runner, aside from the occasional Saturday 5k #Parkrun. But this isn't just about pounding the pavement. It's about investing in the future of sports participation for young people in our local area. This endeavor marks my biggest physical and mental challenge to date. #GreatBirminghamRun. Your donation will be the fuel that keeps me going during those grueling training sessions. You know the ones—when you'd rather do anything but run (what feels like endlessly) around the local park. But your donation isn't just a financial contribution. It's an investment in the dreams and aspirations of our young people. It's about nurturing a lifelong love for sports and physical activity. And in today's world, where the well-being of our young people is more crucial than ever, your support will make a tangible impact. Think about the teenagers and young adults in your life. You understand firsthand how essential it is for them to have access to opportunities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Together, we have the power to pay it forward. Your generosity will provide the facilities, opportunities, and inspiration the next generation need to thrive and excel. So, I'm lacing up my trainers and hitting the pavement alongside a dedicated group of staff, parents, alumni, pupils and former staff. Together, we're showing our unwavering support for our sports community. Let's cross the finish line stronger, united, and proud of the difference we've made. Donate today 👇 and join me in becoming an ambitious FutureSports champion for young people. Together, we can make a lasting tangible impact. 💪 https://lnkd.in/eXG6ji8q https://lnkd.in/eEGf7da4 https://lnkd.in/etrQwVzR https://lnkd.in/e7fCQA83 #QMGS #Champions #Hockey #Fundraising #cricket #mentalhealth #Passion #Resilience #Leadership #TeamWork #Dedication #Running #MassParticipation #GreatBirminghamRun #RunningEvent #Birmingham #parkrun https://lnkd.in/e7KBC7Am

Did you know that 29.5% of people with a disability have cited poor physical access at a stadium as a barrier to attending a sports event? This figure, provided by Level Playing Field (Reg Charity), paints a powerful picture of the challenge thousands of people face when trying to visit a sports stadium. Our latest blog looks at how sports stadiums can help tackle that problem by becoming more inclusive by including Changing Places toilets within their venues. We look at the latest accessibility figures featuring stadiums in the UK, why Changing Places are important and the options available to help more venues become inclusive. https://ow.ly/TKz350Q7SNX #changingplaces #accessibility #inclusion #sport #stadiums #construction

At our recent BVRC International Volunteer Forum 2023, themed 'Making a difference through empowering others,' our panelists, including Kate Bellamy, Coordinator of Volunteer Services at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and President of the Burwood Cricket Club, shared insights on enabling a diverse community to volunteer. Kate highlighted the positive impact of having females in executive roles on the Cricket Club committee, leading to the creation of innovative programs not previously considered in what has traditionally been a male-dominated sport. Kate also offered practical tips for fostering diversity within organisations: 1️⃣ Embrace a new perspective: Start viewing things from a different lens, both as individuals and organisations, to attract a more diverse volunteer base. 2️⃣ When inviting volunteers to join committees, start with smaller tasks, such as participating in a subcommittee, to make the commitment less overwhelming. 3️⃣ Develop an Inclusion and Diversity Action Plan outlining the vision for diversity within your organisation. Establish short, medium, and long-term goals, incorporating quick and easy wins to build momentum and attract others to what you are doing. Let's continue making a positive impact in our communities through enabling our diversity community to volunteer! Do you have any tips to share? #diversityandinclusion #communityimpact #volunteerleadership #empowerothers

In dubious battle. As some of you will remember. After Chelsea won the 2012 Champions League defender John Terry was front and centre in the celebrations. Nothing wrong with that surely? But Terry had played no part in that final and having watched from the stands he had rushed to change into full kit for this photo op. The rest as they say is history. ‘Contribution’ is moot point and a sliding scale. And who is to say if without Terry’s contribution in earlier rounds or influence in general, this achievement still would have been made. Besides conspicuous success is still success; conspicuous good is still good!? Celebration is raising awareness and tempered with self-awareness all like pieces of the many moving parts to Social Value. If we think of Children in Need or Comic Relief for example. The celebs and networks rightly get the plaudits for giving of their time and resources. But the floor staff? And the Security staff who let in the floor staff? And the maintenance people who built the offices for the security staff? And the people in the brickworks who made the bricks for the maintenance people to bulid the offices… Social value has many faces and not all those faces are front facing. It is a thing of society. An ineluctable web of people, places, activities and contributions. For every person holding aloft a trophy there’s a whole community holding that person aloft. #WeAreSociety #SRAG #socialrecruitmentcovenant

Another night, another vital conversation with our influential age group and across our community sporting clubs. Equality is the game. 90 plus attendees last night (250 over the past two sessions) engaged and focused on motivating each other to be part of the solution in creating safe spaces for equality and inclusion, firstly in our sporting clubs and secondly in the wider community. Hands up if you lovvveee school (2 hands up - parents at the back). Who loves playing footy at this club? (All 90 plus hands up - fast). Who wants to be a leader in their action, supporting others, growing and being respected as a mate and respected as a member of your community, on and off the field? (All hands up). #sportandlifetraining #SALT

Just spent the evening with AFC Wimbledon Foundation, who are doing some incredible work bringing together partners and using the power of football to support the young people in their community. AFC Wimbledon Foundation are working with Raising Stars and Social Injustice Limited to deliver our Mayor of London Safer Spaces Pilot, which is focused on using sport as a tool to bring young people together across different post codes. The pilot was developed by our Young People Affected by Violence Steering Group, a group of powerful young people and community organisations providing their expertise to shape the work of our GLA Sport Team. An incredible example of the power of co-creation, community-led solutions, partnership working across systems, and sport for change. ALL the buzzwords lol but for real, it’s what makes the difference, and it is extremely cool to see the real impact of getting the “how” right on the “what” of community work: - a pitch full of young people of all ages and backgrounds buzzin to be playing football on a Friday night - interactive life skills workshop where young people came out of it excited to tell their coach about the bystander effect - parents knowing their kids are safe and engaged with adults they trust (when school doesn’t always meet that need) - hearing about how the funding has allowed for partnerships with met police and school safeguarding leads to develop so that there are referral pathways into the activities for vulnerable young people that might not otherwise engage
