Breaking Ground in PFAS Destruction🌊🔥 We're thrilled to share our exciting updates from our recent visit to IFAT Munich, the world's leading trade fair for Water, Sewage, Waste, and Raw Materials Management. PFAS emerged as a hot topic at IFAT, particularly concerning removal and destruction solutions. During our time at IFAT, we engaged in fruitful discussions with prominent players in PFAS removal and concentration, including Envytech Solutions AB, DESOTEC, LANXESS, Purolite, An Ecolab Company, NX Filtration, Jacobi Group, and many more. These companies are already making significant strides in PFAS removal, leaving a crucial gap to be filled: destruction. That's where we step in. As a startup dedicated to tackling PFAS pollution head-on, we're proud to introduce our PFAS destruction technology. Our solution aims to complement existing removal methods by providing a sustainable and effective way to eliminate PFAS contaminants from water sources. We're also open to potential strategic partnerships with PFAS removal companies to tackle the PFAS problem comprehensively. Together, we can maximize our impact and accelerate progress towards a PFAS-free world. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our mission to make a lasting impact on PFAS pollution and global environmental sustainability. #IFATMunich #PFAS #WaterManagement #EnvironmentalTechnology #Innovation #CleanWater #StartupLife #EnvironmentalSustainability #PFASDestruction

🌍Happy World Soil Day!🌱 On this occasion DEME Environmental and C-biotech announce that they have joined forces to tackle PFAS pollution with a nature-inspired solution that incorporates industrial hemp. 🌿 DEME Environmental specialises in remediating contaminated sites, and C-Biotech develops eco-friendly building materials. PFAS are a major pollutant found in hundreds of everyday items. They are known as 'forever chemicals' because they persist in the environment. The new joint venture, Fytolutions, will use phytoremediation with hemp to clean up sites with mild PFAS pollution. Phytoremediation utilises the natural abilities of hemp to absorb and break down toxic contaminants. Following a successful pilot study, Fytolutions will initially offer the solution in Belgium and Luxembourg. Customised remediation solutions will be designed for PFAS-contaminated sites, considering the synergies of combining hemp phytoremediation with traditional methods. 🌿Nature cleaning nature!🌿 🌱 Visit the Fytolutions website: http://www.fytolutions.com 📰 Read the press release: https://lnkd.in/e9vjQpNN #DEMEGroup #PFAS #worldsoilday #remediation #soilremediation #naturebasedsolutions

Water usage in the solvents industry is exceptionally high, with the cosmetic industry alone using 10.4 million tons of water in 2020💧. This is a concerning amount, especially given the issue of water scarcity. To address this problem, we must find ways to minimize the amount of water we waste and use it more efficiently. One solution to this problem is Bioeutectics's🌱 eutectics solvents. These solvents use only a small fraction of the water typically used in the industry, making them a more sustainable option for businesses looking to reduce their environmental impact💚🌎. By adopting our solvents, we can help conserve water and protect this valuable resource for future generations. Join Bioeutectics for an Earth-healthy future! #WorldWaterDay #WaterUsage #Water #Biotech

Driving sustainable innovation @ ASPIDIA | Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of ASPIDIA: researching sustainable and efficient clean water solutions to solve the emerging pollution crisis | #PFAS #microplastics
Innovating PFAS Remediation: ASPIDIA's Proposal for Sustainable Solutions PFAS contamination is a pressing issue in Flanders and Europe, especially in the port area of Antwerp. The Port of Antwerp-Bruges, supported by the innovative public procurement program VLAIO, has launched a market consultation targeting companies in the water treatment sector. The aim is to promote the development, testing and demonstration of innovative and scalable solutions for sustainable water treatment. These solutions aim to eliminate significant amounts of per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) contaminated wastewater. While conventional methods such as activated carbon adsorption are effective against long-chain PFAS, they are inadequate for shorter chains. In addition, their high cost and the need for combustion result in significant energy consumption and CO2 emissions. In light of these challenges, my startup, ASPIDIA, is committed to conducting innovative research on bioremediation techniques for PFAS. This approach involves the removal of PFAS through the use of optimized and modified bacterial enzymes. #pfas #foreverchemicals #bioremediation #cleanwater #healthylifestyle https://lnkd.in/d-ax3NYS

US-based Aclarity, Inc., a pioneer in PFAS "forever chemical" eradication, successfully concluded a $15.9 million Series A funding round. Julie Bliss Mullen, Founder and CEO of Aclarity, leads efforts to eradicate persistent and dangerous PFAS, or "forever chemicals," addressing their harmful accumulation in organisms and the environment. Its Octa™ PFAS destruction systems utilize proprietary technology to combat the ongoing cycle of PFAS contamination. Unlike conventional methods that often reintroduce concentrated PFAS into the environment, such as landfill disposal, incineration, and deep well disposal, Aclarity's approach minimizes recontamination of the air, soil, and water. As sustainability is high on the agenda in all industries today, there is a demand for biobased raw materials within cationic UV curing. More development is required to improve the performance of oil-based epoxies. However, there is already access to established raw materials, like oxetanes available in bio-attributed versions using the mass-balance concept. During the last two days I have attended the event "Future of surfactants submit". In it, different actors shared views on which are the aspects that are shaping the prospects of surfactants and...guess what? Most of them are related to sustainability (in one or another way). By the number of presentation and interest, the future of surfactants mostly seemed "of biological origin" (bio-surfactants!) but not the only "sustainability enablers" (e.g LCA-thinking; substance/molecule substitution) In our case (the EU Ecolabel team), we contributed to further explain what the EU Ecolabel is, particularly the criteria for detergent and cleaning products inclusive of its ongoing revision. I am satisfied about the content and the networking held, so kudos to the participants and organisers! #EUEcolabel, #Detergents, #JRC
