It’s my 3rd year attending the Million Dollar Round Table MDRT! Now the trip to Canada, Vancouver is not the easiest with me being in Singapore and each year I fly 18-20 hours to just attend a 5 day conference and to fly back to start work the next day! I get questioned by friends & family as to why I would even do such a thing and I felt expressing my thoughts would help! For the uninitiated its basically the Tech Conference but for financial advisory practitioners, its a 5 day event that’s packed with learnings and networking with the goal being to improve ones understanding of their practices. Each year that I go there I learn how big the world really is and how small I might be thinking with how I could improve my advisory practices to impact my clients life better! The most important reason that I attend however is that I feel like a student all over again. I meet with people who are 70-80 years old and I realise how early I am to this business and how long I could go for if I make this sustainable. I meet with people who inspire me to change the way I think and are supportive despite being strangers! Its a great event and I look forward to attending this and sharing my insights each year!

Congratulations for doing the right thing. It is important not only to qualify, but also to participate. Only then MDRT will give the results 🙂
