Last week, on April 25th, 2024, CINEA (https://lnkd.in/dA5XtiqM) hosted an insightful workshop titled "Solar PV Energy Projects Clustering Event," which brought together 15 projects focusing on various aspects of Solar PV. The workshop served as a platform for 15 of CINEA’s H2020 and Horizon Europe Projects, along with policymakers, to discuss PV integration and operational aspects, including BIPV, VIPV, Agro-PV, floating PV, and the performance & reliability of PV plants. This event provided a great opportunity for face-to-face discussions on the challenges and opportunities within the Solar PV sector, aimed at achieving climate neutrality. The workshop featured poster presentations of all the projects and also group discussions on three key topics: - Competitiveness - Digitalization and operability - Sustainability and circularity I had the privilege of representing the HEU-funded #SUREWAVE project (https://surewave.eu/), which focuses on floating PV. During the workshop, I engaged in detailed discussions with other floating PV projects such as NATURSEA-PV and BAMBOO. We agreed to collaborate on the advancement of floating PV for offshore environments.
