OK, yes we're just little, so donating 2% of our gross turnover might not be a huge amount of money just yet, but as we grow, so will our contribution. Wouldn't it be amazing if every company in Aotearoa set aside 2% of their annual income for similar positive environmental outcomes? If only that were true! We know there are other like-minded people in New Zealand who believe that we have to change the way we think about our responsibilities to the environment, acting now, and "baking-in" the thinking into our every-day lives. You can support us by hiring us, or you can match what we do for a similar cause.

That's why we're thrilled to announce our Bra Drive Initiative that has been on-going since 2012! 🎗️ Many of us have bras that we no longer wear, for various reasons. Instead of letting them collect dust in our drawers, we have a better idea. Let's turn those unused bras into opportunities for change! ❣️ Fun Fact! Neubodi is in the Malaysian Book Of Records for having the most second hand bras collected. At this moment, we have more than 160,000 bras donated since 2012. ❣️ ♻️ So where do you begin? Donate Your Unused Bras: Gather those bras you no longer need, whether they're gently worn or in great condition. We accept all brands, types, sizes, and styles. (Do make sure they are properly washed and packed in a bag) ♻️ What happens to the donated bra? - Supporting Communities: The good condition bras will be donated to rural areas, villages in East Malaysia, and underprivileged communities in Thailand, Indonesia, Nepal, Cambodia, and Africa. We're partnering with NGOs to reach those who need them most. - Recycling for a Greener Future: Bras that can't be used anymore will be recycled into biofuel pellets to power generators and industrial boilers. This not only reduces waste but also helps cut carbon emissions by 23%. Every year again, towards the end of the cycling season, tree planting season starts, and we take one day to plant trees in a local forest. 🌳 As part of our collaboration with Aktion Baum - Non-Profit Organisation, this reforestation project gives us the chance to go out into the woods and to have an impact on the nature right in front of our doorstep. The roughly 1,500 saplings that we planted a few weeks back could only be planted thanks to the active contribution of our users. We pledged to plant 1,000 seedlings for every million kilometers our users conducted on either scooter or bike during earth week this spring. And that’s how 3,500 trees were accumulated that will now be planted by Aktion Baum. In order to make this project even more meaningful and to contribute with our own hands. Many of our nextbike by TIER and TIER Mobility colleagues used their “Volunteering Day” to plant at least some of the trees themselves. A great team-building activity, benefiting the environment as much as our co-workers. Our first ever Purpose Paper is here! 🤩 Structured into Planet, Places and People sections, the paper tracks our progress against our sustainability goals. Here are a few highlights we're particularly proud of: 🤝 Giving back In 2023, the launch of the Explore Foundation facilitated a donation of over £60,000 to the Morocco Earthquake Appeal, funded 50 bikes for One Bike in Tanzania, and contributed over £14,000 to Lone Buffalo's Develop Together programme. 🌱 Carbon reduction Explore not only met but exceeded our target of a 7% reduction in carbon footprint intensity (per passenger night) for 2022-23. Plus, we've set an ambitious target of 4.5% reduction for 2023-24. ❤️ People Explore's board and senior managers now have planet-based bonus targets, while all staff have personal and team objectives aligned with People, Planet, and Places. Hold Norge Rent tackles the global issue of littering with a local perspective, emphasizing sustainability and mobilizing voluntary clean-up initiatives. Bicicletas sin Fronteras and LaVuelta have launched a fascinating challenge. Create the solidarity jersey and dress the team of those who believe in a better world. A team in which no one is ever left behind, because there is something much more important than winning... That we all win. This jersey will not be worn by the fastest riders in each stage or the most regular riders, but by "those who believe in a better world, and who know that the important thing is not to win, but that we all win". Buy the solidarity jersey and collaborate with Bicicletas Sin Fronteras in the education of children and young people. To do so, in each stage a group of journalists will choose the most supportive rider in the race. The rider will receive the solidarity jersey the following day, at the signature check. Remember our 2024 walking challenge? 🥇 Here are the results! 💪 We covered 7 668 373 steps, a distance of 5,478 kilometers together. This is almost the air distance between New York and London. ⛽And get this, driving that distance would require a whopping 357.5 liters of petrol. That's enough to power a small village or fill up a clown car. 💶And let's not forget the price tag—approximately 560 Euros. 🌱 Now, brace yourselves for the environmental side of things. By walking we planted 27388 virtual trees. This would be approx 17% of the area in "Vingio parkas" in Vilnius. And on 🔝 of that, we donate to One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation. Since 2014, they've planted over 135.5 million trees with 378 partners across 82 countries in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Pacific.
