Next iteration of the LEED green building rating system will drive deep decarbonization, quality of life improvements and ecological conservation and restoration.

#GreenMe5 is an environmental project co- financed by the European Union through its #LIFEprogramme. The partners of the project are: Federación De Municipios De La Región De Murcia (Coordinator), the city councils Ayuntamiento de Murcia, Ayuntamiento de #Cieza (Spain), #Arezzo (Italy), Go Vilnius (Lithuania), Helsingborgs stad (Sweden), and EuroVértice (Spain). The #GreenCityAccord is the movement formed by European cities committed to environmental conservation. Municipal authorities signing the Green City Accord commit themselves to take measures to make their cities more resilient, greener and healthier. The Green City Accord includes five pillars that bring together the most important areas of urban management: #water, #air, #waste, #noise and #nature. The initiative was launched by the European Commission in October 2020 and already brings together more than 100 cities across Europe.

Let's not overlook the key role that the often ignored other Blue Carbon - freshwater and brackish wetland 'sponges' that surround mangrove tree species - are key to the Mangrove TREE resilience, as well as for their future survival...Without the MANGAL ecosystem, the mangrove trees are likely to be history. And it is surprising that after the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF),  'the fundamental contribution that ecological connectivity makes to healthy functioning ecosystems and species’ diversity and resilience, and their benefits to people', most of the world experts still focus attention on mangrove trees, rather than interconnectivity of the Mangal Social-Ecological-System.
