Supporting Wounded Veterans’ Post

Christmas is a special time for many, a time for friends and family. But for all too many people, Christmas can be a difficult time, a time where isolation and loneliness can be amplified. On leaving the Armed Forces, many find the transition to civy street a difficult time. It can be a lonely time trying to forge a new life outside of the Armed Forces family - even more so when your time in the Armed Forces is cut short due to injury, illness and deeper battles. This is why support pathways for Veterans are so important. As well as receiving the support and guidance needed, they can then link in with the SWV Veteran Support Network, so that loneliness and isolation is less of a problem. This time of year highlights even more the need for Veterans Charities, so Veterans can reach out and feel supported.
