🚀 From feeling stuck to soaring high: Embracing career growth through change 🚀 Early in my career, I spent two years at Deloitte. While I gained valuable experience, the limited exposure to development and deployment left me feeling unfulfilled. The lack of challenging projects made it difficult to showcase my skills and even consider a job switch. Finally taking the leap and joining Accenture in India was the turning point. The new environment provided opportunities to work on exciting technologies and lay the foundation for my career. I gained confidence, expanded my skill set, and discovered my true potential. My journey continued with EY, where I'm currently engaged in fulfilling projects that challenge and inspire me. The Takeaways 🤔 Switching companies can be a catalyst for growth. The decision has been taken by you , more than worrying about it , now you make sure that you make the decision right in future" - My Father❤️ When I was leaving Infosys in November 2023 due to personal and professional reasons , I was way too scared and anxious on how I will get settle in EY,India. 😲 I got placed at Infosys in November 2016 and exactly after 7 years I was repapering for Interview in my career. I will not hesitate in accepting inspite of having a lucrative profile I was hell scared and under estimating myself. 🤒 Still remember the call with Rahul Yalshetty, Anand Karhe who was confident enough to take me in his team followed by formal round of interviews with Vinod Kumar who valued me and seen enough potential in me to onboard me at EY, India 😎 Will be grateful till my last breathe. I got the offer , travelled back from Sydney [ One of the most critical decision I have taken for my career till now with lots of doubts]. I was scared , anxious , doubting myself to take my resignation back even at my last working day at Infosys but then I had an conversation with my father and he said "What's the issue ?" I said - "I am scare of this decision , I am leaving onsite for which I have waited for years , What if i get fail ? What if I don't get a support in new org. ? XYZ" 😰 He only replied:- "The decision has been taken , make sure you make it right going forward" and I never looked back. ✅ 🚀 With immense support from Rahul Yalshetty , Dhivya Harinarayanan , Vinod Kumar , Ganesh Chandrasekar P.. I made myself focused to my 9 to 5 job and in result got appreciated from the EY,India leadership for "Business Extraordinaire Award" with below feedback -"Very well settled and supporting Senior team members in areas of technical/solution evaluations for new client requirements. He has no inhibitions working with new member each time but with the same quality output every time. Good going at the start of your career in the firm." 😎 I want to dedicate this award to my previous organization leaders who nurtured me as a leader and gave enough confidence to deliver quality output to my clients at EY,India . I gave up! Back in September while I was in a happy breezy phase of my career and life I got to know that the project in which I was working remotely for Cognizant was ramping off. The HR team tried their best to deploy me to a few projects that were good but location-specific. I was not ready to shift on the same salary and decided to move out of the company. I started searching for a new job and gave a few interviews but nothing was getting fixed on the salary part. My friends, colleagues, and well-wishers suggested to me that the job market is not good and I should either go for an internal project in Cognizant or else settle for low. I started considering those suggestions and got scared of a jobless situation. I was feeling so low, and scared, stopped talking to people and going out. The worst thing I did was start doubting myself. The last day of my work was approaching which was making me more stressed. I hide the entire situation from my Mom. But she figured out that I was stressed and forced me to speak out. She took a deep breath laughed a bit and told me that she was assuming something way more serious from my behavior and body language. Then we had a conversation which changed my perspective. She appreciated me for all my hard work and how she was always hassle-free for me. She told me to have faith in myself, lose my fear and everything will work out. She also suggested to me that I have never taken a career break so go for a trip and enjoy the moment. I was surprised, happy, and all of a sudden entirely stress-free by her behavior. That day I GAVE UP my inner fear. Certainly, the last working day in Cognizant approached but I was fearless.  Within a week I got 2 big offers from EY & Capgemini in a super exciting role and I was extremely happy at the same time utterly confused. The chance to choose between EY and Capgemini feels like a rewarding culmination of this journey. Then I did research for a few days and ultimately chose Capgemini for the proximity. To all those facing career crossroads: Trust your instincts, embrace change, and recognize that the path ahead might not always be clear, but it's in our hands to shape it. Stop overthinking, do your best, and then breathe. This is a chapter of my journey that taught me resilience, patience, and the power of choices. It's been a transformative journey, navigating through uncertain times while seeking new opportunities. I get many DMs on LinkedIn asking for my insights and guidance as they are facing challenges in their career paths. So, I thought of sharing this story to motivate job seekers or professionals in their turmoil situations. Reflecting on 16 Years with #Accenture As I celebrate my 16th anniversary with #Accenture this month, I find myself looking back on an incredible journey filled with growth, learning, and countless memorable experiences. When I first joined Accenture, I was eager and ready to dive into the world of IT, but I had no idea just how transformative this journey would be. In the early days, like many of us, I faced challenges that tested my resilience and adaptability. Learning the ropes in a fast-paced environment required a steep learning curve, but with the support of my colleagues and mentors, I quickly found my footing. Those initial challenges became the foundation for my professional growth. Staying away from home for the first time was an experience in itself. Throughout my time at Accenture, I have had the privilege of working on great projects that not only pushed the boundaries of innovation but also allowed me to develop a diverse skill set. From leading teams to collaborating with teams across location, each project has been a stepping stone, contributing to my professional and personal development. Working here has taught me the value of teamwork, perseverance, and strategic thinking. The lessons I've learned over these 16 years are invaluable. My first job at EY was really tough. I felt truly burned out for the first time. I was working so much that I forgot to eat or sleep properly. It felt like my laptop was my constant companion, from the moment I woke up until I went to bed. This experience made me think hard about whether I wanted to continue working in such high-pressure jobs. After my contract ended, I decided against joining any of the Big Four firms again. Eventually, I found a job at Wipro. It was challenging, especially when we had to wrap things up at the end of the month, but I learned a lot. More importantly, I realized that feeling burned out wasn't about where I worked. It was about how I managed my work and personal life. Once I understood this, I wasn't scared of working in demanding jobs anymore, not even at the Big Four. This journey taught me a lot about balancing work and taking care of myself. Signing off from #Accenture As I bid farewell on my last working day after completing around 2.5 years in Accenture. I am filled with mixed emotions. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to Accenture. This company has given me some wonderful managers to learn from & amazing friends to behold for life. This has been undoubtedly the best start to my corporate career!!. Getting transformed from just a cheerful enthusiastic college graduate into a skilled corporate professional. Accenture has beautifully curved out the way for me. I have had the privilege of collaborating with some of the brightest mind in the industry, each interaction leaving an indelible mark on my professional journey. The Project I’ve been a part of have not only honed my skills but also broadened my  perspective, allowing me to tackle complex problems with confidence and creativity. But beyond the projects and deadlines, it’s the people that have made my time at Accenture truly memorable. From mentors who guided me along the way to colleagues who became friends, I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by a supportive and inspiring team. Leaving accenture was a difficult choice but as I embark on the next chapter of my career, I carry with me the lessons learnt and the relationships during my time at Accenture. Today marks my one-month Anniversary at Genpact. Time Truly flies when you are on an exciting journey! In Just 30 days, I have the privilege of working with diverse deliverables and learning from brilliant minds. The Pace here is exhilarating (in a good way), and the energy is Contagious. I feel fortunate to be a part of this dynamic team. Genpact was recently asked by my colleague what the most valuable lesson I've learned during this time. While some might say it's about having a growth mindset or being consistent, I firmly believe that nurturing a strong sense of morality and humility is the most crucial quality. Being humble means treating everyone equally and viewing people with equity, which is essential since people form the foundation of every company. When combined with morality, these characteristics create a virtuous approach to conducting business that can positively influence your behavior, career, and how others perceive you. From what I have observed, no business, regardless of its size, can thrive if it is built on a toxic culture, inhumane ideals, and egocentricity. Therefore, I urge you to appreciate your team members more, respect people from the simplest of jobs, and care for customers who engage with your product or service as if you would care for your own loved ones.
