With an industry push towards 100% electrical heating and cooling systems, our engineers often see and test refrigerant-based systems. The discovery of new refrigerant chemicals is important in ensuring a sustainable planet. Older refrigerants were highly pollutant and were a significant factor in the global call to eliminate the use of Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in 1987, though at the time, less polluting refrigerants had not been discovered, or they were less effective than their CFC counterparts. New refrigerants are developed every year in an effort to make highly efficient and cost-effective cooling systems while reducing the impact of chemical pollutants on the environment. #commissioning #buildingcommissioning #heatingandcooling #sustainableplanet

O3 technology was installed along with the Wet Scrubber System (WSS) catalyzing the oxidation of O3 and pollutant gases. In addition, a chiller was added to control and stabilize the temperature of the water. After the water temperature was controlled, the concentration of O3 increased resulting in an efficient pollution treatment system. Levels of pollutant gas emission were found to be beneath control standards of both Thailand and those of the U.S. EPA.
