Project Conductor 🔹 Transforming the project manager role for today’s world | Leading delivery success with 6D project management and smart solutions 🔹 MSP, MAPM | Founder & CEO at Sympmy
So here it is… That time of year when Santa tightens the belt around his trademark red suit to brace for another merry Christmas of global gift-giving. A time for tribute to the maestro-like co-ordination and action management capabilities of this seasonal leader. 🎅 While many perceive Santa as simply the genial, rosy-cheeked purveyor of festive cheer, few fully grasp the extensive planning and precise execution required annually to orchestrate operations to achieve delivery perfection. ⛄ As an active project conductor myself, I'm full of admiration for how Santa spearheads the entire North Pole enterprise. He effortlessly harmonises diverse cross-functional teams - talented toy makers, diligent Nice List compilers, committed reindeer handlers, and more - towards clearly defined goals with uncompromising timelines. 🎅 The meticulous planning begins in September when Santa holds focussed launch strategy meetings with executive elves from all sections. Clear milestones are set with actions prioritised to complete the Naughty and Nice List, detailing which children will receive custom toy orders, by 30th September. ⛄ Notably, Santa also inaugurates his famous ‘Season of Cheer’ assemblies in early October, shrewdly building festive spirit, morale and purpose across his industrious workshop crews in weekly addresses. These recurring rallies have become a signature ritual sustaining positive beat, momentum and drive through the intense workload pressures. 🎅 From November, toy production shifts into high gear until 23rd December. Santa has mapped clear timelines for all departments to meet escalating manufacturing thresholds, mandating quality checks throughout. Concurrently, his reindeer troupe starts intensive training to prepare for gravity-defying sleigh-pulling duties on Christmas Eve. ⛄ After the final packing frenzy, Santa conducts last-minute inventory checks, flight plan walkthroughs and team pep talks before the iconic global delivery tour lifts off on the big night - the payoff for a year of relentless planning and precise delivery management! 🎄 The flawless operational orchestration enabling Santa to reliably design, produce, wrap and deliver custom presents to millions of households globally is astounding and instructive. It reflects world-class discipline around action management, scheduling, quality control, aligned stakeholder efforts and motivation - competencies any organisation would benefit from this festive season and into the New Year! #actionmanagement #projectmanagement #changemanagement #apm #pmi

5 BIG THINGS I learned this week (beach edition): (1) It's hard to beat the sunrise service overlooking Mobile Bay on Easter Sunday. (2) Crocs are the most versatile part of any beach wardrobe. After dinner one night, I was at the valet stand waiting on my car. A guy came up to me and said, "I'd never have the guts to wear Crocs to a restaurant like this." C'mon man. Live a little. I love my chocolate brown Crocs -- comfort, whether you are dressing up or dressing down 😎 (3) Hammocks are amazing 😊 Swinging in the wind, reading a good book. (4) My book of choice this week is President Garfield: from Radical to Unifier by C.W. Goodyear. I've listened to about half of it on Audible. Many echoes for today from the political environment of that time. Many insights to draw, mistakes to avoid, and lessons to learn. (5) And lastly, why would anyone plan to end a vacation on Thursday so they can be in the office all day on Friday? Poor decision making on my part. Never again 😏 Onward to another great week. Better understanding. Better decisions. That's KS&R! BONUS: Here's my view from the hammock 👇

Good afternoon, everyone, and thanks for stopping by. I am James Martin, the owner of Martin Designs 76, aka Md76, which is a small business doing BIG THINGS for companies, both for-profit and non-profit, like yours!
Happy Monday! So who is excited about the time change like I am? Lose an hour of sleep to gain an hour of daylight; I love it! It makes me want to spring forward like the season! Though it is a little tiring the first few days, I adapt and take advantage of the opportunity to spend more time outdoors with my family and boost Md76. Spring has sprung and "Spring Forward" is a great opportunity to boost your business! Here's how: +Extended Sunshine = Extended Hours, (especially for outdoor businesses): Consider extending your opening hours to capture those extra sunny times for those who don't like to shop at night. +Plan Outdoor Events: Host sidewalk sales, patio happy hours, or product demonstrations. People are itching to get outside, so give them a reason to visit.! +Showcase Seasonal Products: Spring cleaning? Update your storefront and social media with fresh, spring-themed products and promotions that can capture your target audiences attention faster. +Highlight "Sunshine Specials": Offer discounts or deals that encourage daytime shopping or dining. +Run a "Spring Forward" Contest: Get people engaged with a social media contest that celebrates the season and your business. Bonus Tip: Update all of your online profiles and your website in unison to reflect your spring specials and offerings to everyone! #SpringForward #BoostYourBusiness #SunshineAndSales If you have any questions or need help with any of this don't hesitate to call (409) 500-2927 or email us at [email protected] May peace and blessings be with you, your families, and your business(s) this spring season!

Poppin’ into 2024 with #realness! 🍿🍾 Honouring the good and the bad behind EATABLE INC.’s 2023 highlights reel… ☀️TOP 3 HIGHLIGHTS: 1. Hiring some key team members I knew early on I wanted to invest in surrounding ourselves with the right expertise to fill our gaps. It paid off exponentially by allowing us to pursue big opportunities confidently, and expanded our networks through our team and mentors. 2. Securing over $350k in non-dilutive funding Through e-commerce funding, strategic debt and grants, we secured capital for hiring, facility improvements and to roll out improved packaging and products to set us up for retail success. Our team has demonstrated our “scrappiness” by getting lots done with relatively little while making micro pivots along the way. 3. Landing some AMAZING collaborations We’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with household names that transcend the snacking space. This year, we’ve innovated popcorn for Bacardi, Barefoot Wine and the OSCARS 🤩 with some exciting partnerships in the pipeline for next year. ⛈️TOP 3 LOWLIGHTS: 1. Walking away from a listing opportunity with a huge national retailer The path to profitability is filled with tough decisions and our choice was heartbreaking 💔 because we couldn’t make their desired pricing work with our margin goals. It ended up being a huge wake-up call that gave us valuable insights on how we should create future product lines for mass retail success! The silver lining? We dodged a bullet that could have killed our company if our only motivation was to get a big logo on an investor deck. 2. Having some team members move on (for various reasons both personally and professionally). I take every single one of these tough conversations to heart. I consider my team an extension of my family, but I also understand that #startuplife is not for everyone. I’m grateful to everyone who has been part of Team EATABLE’s journey and wholeheartedly support their next phase! 3. Feeling the impacts of the #hustle on my mental health and well-being Our digital and social circles are usually full of inspiration and motivation, but we all have those days where we fall into comparison, shiny object syndrome, and feel like inadequate versions of ourselves. There have been times I’ve let those bad days manifest themselves in unhealthy ways, impacting my ability to show up at work and at home for my family and 2 little ones. We’re proud to offer a Health Spending Account as one of EATABLE’s employee benefits to ensure we are able to help support our team’s wellness goals even as a small biz. One of my resolutions is to prioritize self care, get better at drawing boundaries, and move at a pace that feels SUSTAINABLE. After all, it’s about the journey and there’s no such thing as overnight success. Wishing you a healthy and happy 2024! Thanks for being on this wild ride with me. ❤️🍿🍾
