This is not gross or disgusting. People menstruate. Even if you don't, you likely know someone who does. Some of those menstruating people do not understand why they menstruate or do not have the means to pay for supplies. In our country, we have been working on supporting those who menstruate with the Menstrual Equity For All Act of 2021, which supports: *Free menstrual products on campuses of institutions of higher education *Grants for elementary and secondary schools to provide menstrual products to students *Free menstrual products available in federal and state correctional facilities *Requires Medicaid to cover menstrual products *Employers with at least 100 employees provide free menstrual products for employees. *Emergency food and shelters to provide menstrual products to homeless individuals. . . . #PeriodFriendlyWorld #MenstrualEquity #PeriodPoverty #MenstrualHealth #PeriodPositive #EndPeriodStigma

Period poverty refers to the lack of access to sanitary products, menstrual hygiene education, toilets, hand washing facilities, and waste management. How Can We Help? 1.
