【𝐔𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞✨】 Last week, Swire Coca-Cola achieved a significant milestone with the #groundbreaking of the Swire Coca-Cola Greater Bay Area Intelligent Green Factory in #Guangdong. This state-of-the-art facility, backed by an investment of RMB 1.25 billion, is set to become the largest green, intelligent and diversified world-class plant in our Chinese Mainland market. This expansion also serves as a crucial pillar in #Swire’s expanding presence within the Greater Bay Area. The new plant will cover an area of nearly 128,000 square meters and house 11 new beverage production lines, multi-tier warehouses, and other supporting facilities. It is anticipated to increase annual production capacity by approximately 66% compared to the current level of Swire Coca-Cola’s Guangdong branch. As we look ahead, we remain optimistic about the future of the #GBA. We are committed to riding the momentum of the region’s high-quality development and further deepening our roots in this dynamic market. #SwireCocaCola #Green #Intelligent #Investment

Carlsberg Malaysia reported a 6.3% decline in revenue to RM2.3 billion, while net profit increased by 5.1% to RM333.2 million for FY23 compared to FY22. The lower performance is mainly due to the shorter timing of CNY last year, and consumers pulled back on discretionary spending. The Board of Directors is pleased to recommend a final dividend of 31 sen per share, subject to the shareholders’ approval at the upcoming 54th Annual General Meeting. Upon approval, this will bring the total declared dividend for FY23 to 93 sen per share. “We have planned capital expenditure (CapEx) of RM92 million for a new canning line and filtration system to provide greater production flexibility and lower environment footprint. This expansion marks another milestone in our ‘Brewery Transformation Journey’ as we strive to build a more innovative, resilient, and sustainable business,” says Stefano Clini, Managing Director, Carlsberg Malaysia. The nearer, the better. Relocating part of the business to a neighbouring country may not be the one-size-fits-all solution against geopolitical disruptions, but it provides a sustainable alternative for a resilient supply chain. The Dominican Republic serves as a major transit point between North, South and Central America and across the Caribbean. During the pandemic, Mondelēz International, the global snacks and beverages company, initiated 'Project Near', directly importing products from their origin country to avoid container shortages and shipping bans. Explore how our interconnected network of services, infrastructure, and technologies supported Mondelēz in facilitating a smooth logistics operation, in our 'Transforming Trade' article with Custom Content from WSJ: https://lnkd.in/eupX-zUW
