LinkedIn Top Voice 2024 | Equipping high-achievers to raise the bar on their dreams, lives & work to achieve more meaningful, sustainable outcomes | Ex-Pearson, Harvard: Healthy High Achievement Expert & Educator
It’s 2024 and, despite well documented workplace trends that show women leaving the workforce or changing jobs to get what they want, employers still don’t seem to get what’s required to attract and retain women, especially senior women: ➡️ continuous support for women at work and investment in DEI initiatives that work ➡️ well-being initiatives that bring about a meaningful shift of in employee well-being (instead of well-being washing) ➡️ options for hybrid and remote work where it’s clearly doable ➡️ transparency and equity around pay and promotion ➡️ sincere efforts to address racial inequities These are future of work trends that aren’t going away; in fact they’re becoming increasingly important to both men and women and will only grow in complexity given our VUCA world. And it’s going to take radical changes in corporate leadership to get there. #womenatwork #genderequity #futureofwork #leadership https://lnkd.in/ePRuDtGA

Loving this article from Ursula Mead, CEO of InHerSight. If you're not familiar with her organization, they are a company review platform for women. Meaning - they know a LOT about what women want from work. Here are 5 #WorkplaceTrends for women at work. We talk a lot about the power of flexible and #RemoteWork, but this statistic caught me by surprise: "Notably, 22% of women also say they have felt a decline in their employer’s support for them personally in the past six months." Yikes! It's been a difficult year, we see that in hiring numbers and the dread of anticipating a recession (that will hopefully never come). Inflation and therefore stress is at an all time high. Let's make sure we aren't taking that out on our employees who are performing as well as they can due to market conditions. #Empathy is a powerful thing. 💪🏼 https://lnkd.in/eF-SaKaU

Let's bust a #myth today! Do you think it's mostly women who want—and benefit from—flexible work? According to McKinsey & Company the reality is men and women see flexibility as a ‘top 3’ employee benefit and critical to their company’s success. Most employees say that opportunities to work remotely and have control over their schedules are top company benefits, second only to healthcare. #societyandculture #careers #businessandmanagement #talentacquisition
