We are pleased to share that our Branch Manager in Niš, Andjelija Zlatanovic, participated in the panel discussion “Workplace Adjusted to Family Needs” organized by Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund. The foundation selected Symphony as an example of an employer with best practices. We were honored to share many positive examples of our implemented practices, along with our experience and advice. Supporting wellbeing and work-life balance is important to us at Symphony. We strive to create a workplace where employees can effectively manage their work responsibilities and family commitments, ensuring everyone feels valued and supported. A big thank you to Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation for recognizing our efforts and inviting us to participate. Together, we’re positively impacting the community to create better workplaces.

Pleased to share some insights from our employee communities look-back for February 2024 at Mindr: - Right now appears to be a great time to double down on community programming: people are paying attention. Employee community subscriptions across all of our partners have seen their highest month-on-month growth since November last year. The holiday lull is over! - There are clear benefits to offering a breadth of community focus areas. Companies with more types of employee communities, serving a wide variety of interests and dimensions, see significantly greater engagement across their organization. - There has been strong uptake this month for new interfaith and intercultural communities, bringing in participants who may have not engaged with employee communities in the past. #cultivateleaders #buildbelonging

Executive Director at WCWI | Transforming Employee Well-being | Passionate Advocate for Health, Wellness and Community
🌟 Had an insightful time at the UW-Green Bay Nonprofit Education and Development Network conference last week! 🌟 One session that truly stood out was Frank Martinelli's discussion on nonprofit advocacy. Advocacy isn't just a tool; it's a cornerstone for advancing our mission. One huge takeaway for me and a message I believe all nonprofit leaders should consider: Direct service to individuals alone doesn't address the underlying systems that create the need for those services in the first place. It's about system-informed advocacy, recognizing that both transactional change (individual-focused) and transitional change (evaluating and changing systems) are necessary. These concepts hold immense relevance for workplace wellness initiatives. Focusing solely on providing services to individual employees, while important, doesn't address the systemic factors influencing their well-being. We must also evaluate and challenge the structures and systems within our organizations that may contribute to stress, burnout, disengagement, and other workplace challenges. By fostering a culture that prioritizes mental health support, work-life balance, inclusivity, and other vital aspects of well-being, we can address these issues at their roots and create environments where all employees can thrive. Let's commit to holistic wellness strategies that not only care for the individual but also strive to transform the systems that impact us all. Let's continue to advocate for meaningful change, both within our organizations and in the broader community. Together, we can create healthier, more supportive workplaces for all. #NonprofitAdvocacy #WorkplaceWellness #SystemicChange #EmployeeWellBeing #UWGBNNC

Yesterday I had the opportunity to celebrate Social Work Month with colleagues. We each had an opportunity to share an item we identify as an advancement to the Social Work profession in the past 3-5 years. For context-my team consists of 6 Clinical Social Workers with 8-23 years of professional experience. Here are the items we discussed: +advancement of tele health services and having those services covered by insurers (we serve a geographically large, rural population-transportation had been the primary barrier to accessing services prior to the pandemic). +advancemet of cultural humility, diversity, equity, and inclusion practices within the greater landscape of communities and workplaces. +advancement of self care practices being interwoven into a professional responsibility/compency. +advancement of social worker roles being better understood by other professions. +advancement of Marco practice social work and how social workers’ intrinsic systems knowledge and social work skill set are increasingly sought out on multi disciplinary teams, and in other business sectors. This years National Social Work Month theme was Empowering Social Workers. It was invigorating to discuss advances to the Social Work profession. For me this workplace discussion illustrated ways social workers have inspired action and change.

How do you implement approaches that are community led and ingrained in Indigenous knowleges, especially if you are in Australia and employed by the public system? As a student I'd love to learn about more examples!
On this World Social Work Day, President of the International Federation of Social Workers, Joachim Mumba, shares a poignant message for those of us privileged to work alongside local communities, as we strive for 'Buen Vivir': Shared Future for Transformative Change’. "Buen Vivir resonates deeply with the core values of social work. As we celebrate World Social Work Day, let’s embrace this principle and champion a future where communities and nature coexist in harmony a future where social workers will, together with local people co-design and co-build peaceful communities critical to our shared sustainable futures.”

What is one of the most successful elements of workplace wellness? You might be surprised by the answer. The answer is - volunteering. Employees who volunteer through their workplace and give back to their communities show an overall increase in well-being. It goes to show the incredible healing power of giving. #TakeCareOfYourPeople #Volunteering #Wellbeing https://lnkd.in/gBaxj_tR
