Loss Humbles: If you find yourself in a humbling position or situation, do not despair, you are perfectly positioned for God to work in your life to become who He wants you to be, and take you to where He always wanted to take you. Humility is not Humiliation, so welcome it and embrace it, fully. It is like a Heart Conditioner. Like a Hair Conditioner, which is used to soften our hair, making it better for the Hair Stylist to work with, so is Humility; It softens our hearts, making them better for God to work with. A hair conditioner also protects our hair; and so is humility, it protects our hearts by giving us the adaptability and resilience we need during unexpected changes in our lives like losing a loved one. Just as we trust that our hair stylists know what they are doing, we must also trust that God knows what He is doing, He has a perfect track record. 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑴𝒊𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒓 How much time do you spend in front of the mirror everyday? Does a teenager and a lady spends more time there as compared to men? If yes, why? Does the mirror give them any special compliment or gift or tips or suggestions? The responses would differ based on age, gender and also from person to person. But the fact remains the same... mirror doesn't say anything. We either get to hear or see what we want to see or we see what we DON'T want to see at all. So, what do you see most of the times? Dark circles, grey hair, the speed with which you are going bald, wrinkles on forehead? Or that you don't have a curl in your hair like the other girl in class, you could have looked better with a pair of specs, your height should have been little more, you have started looking little healthier, the collar bone is not being visible anymore, the 6 packs need to be little better visible... and so on... Are we realizing that all these comments are not made by the mirror? They are simply the reflections of our own views about our own self. We may also see beautiful eyes, perfect hair style, a nice curve of our lips and a glow on our face. Even these are not uttered by the mirror. They are largely linked with our physique, our looks but ideally reflect our self-image! The way we perceive our 'self', the way we accept our looks and the way we feel like carrying them. Does your mirror ever tells you, ~ "Keep smiling! You look great when you smile!" ~ "This is the confidence! Maintain it!" ~ "You have that special element in you... go rock the world!" ~ "You are late today, but don't skip your breakfast!" Or do we need somebody else to say this? Remember how we look into the mirror... We don't look at the glass... We look behind the glass, where we find our reflection. We need to look behind our face to find our 'real' self. And also behind the face of people as well to be able to see their intentions, thoughts, beliefs, their real self to be able to understand their actions better!
