When we started Dragonfire Corporate Solutions Sdn Bhd years ago, we knew it should have a strong name. It needs a bold brand recall, and a conversation piece. As a Dragon Boy, George Bohlender suggested Dragonfire. Not any dragon, but a western fire breathing dragon no less (yes, there's an eastern and western dragon!) This Chinese seal was ordered specially to be used in signing significant documents. It was designed by an artisan in Melaka. We didn't realise how much research was put into this seal - the philosophy, old characters vs new characters, styling, size, where it will be used, etc etc. 12 years later, 2 logo rebrands, we are still keeping our work values with every touch point we work with. Some things change to stay current with time. Some things need to stay, and remind you what makes you, you. Okay, character animation and hand-drawn techniques? Those were never my strong suit. Makes me extra appreciative of animators who make it look amazing, especially those who bring much-needed representation to the screen. I'm committed to exposing more, exceptional people of colour in the creative and tech industries. Wesley Louis, Director and Co-Founder of, the BAFTA-nominated, The Line Animation Studio serves as an great example in the world of Character animation. I'm so inspired by his studio’s work, and his commitment to creating hand drawn art and animation art featuring Black people on his insta. The studio’s work is DOPE. Check out The  “AMARO AND WALDEN - Joyride" music video.  https://lnkd.in/eNtEEtZK It's a brilliant mashup of 2D animation layered over real-world footage.  The characters are so well done and feel so alive, their personalities and energy jump out of the screen.
