𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐥 Growing up in Florida and living in Houston, I've learned a few things about hurricanes and the dangerous situations that surround them. Here are my three basic safety concerns as we stare down the barrel of... um, Beryl. 1. Car accidents during evacuations are one of the leading causes of injury during a hurricane. Keep an eye out for panicky drivers and make sure you're not one of them. 2. As simple as it sounds, things can be very slippery when they're wet. An area where you walked that was fine yesterday may be a danger today. 3. The leading cause of fatalities in a hurricane is still drowning in a storm surge and being hit by flying debris. So if you've got a mandatory evacuation, I believe it is "mandatory" that you evacuate. 👤 National Safety Council, Pennsylvania Governor's Occupational Safety & Health Conference, and Visit Galveston 💻 https://lnkd.in/g9eFkBpw

Hurricane Season remains a potential threat! Here are some valuable insights from our Deployment Manager, Nicole Orso, on proactive measures to take in case of an event: 1️. Confirm Your Coastal Licenses: Make sure all your licenses are up to date, especially if you operate in the coastal regions from Texas to the Carolinas. Keeping these licenses current is essential for responding quickly to emergencies. 2️. LCPIC Certification: If you're looking to seize opportunities in Louisiana when a storm strikes, consider getting LCPIC Certified. This certification can open doors to a wealth of opportunities due to the high policy count in the state. 3️. TWIA Certification: For those aiming to be deployed to the Texas coast in the event of a catastrophe, obtaining TWIA certification is crucial. Being eligible for deployment with the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association can be a significant advantage during hurricane season. #HurricaneSeasonPrep #InsuranceAdjuster #StayReady

To safeguard your operations, create a comprehensive emergency plan that includes communication strategies, data backup procedures, and securing physical assets.
