Hello everyone!
I am thrilled to announce that I began my 2-month internship journey at Capgemini India in April, as part of the E.L.I.T.E. program. Capgemini's reputation for innovation and excellence makes this a very exciting opportunity, and I hope to take as many learnings as possible from it.
The first week was an induction week at the Capgemini Campus in Hyderabad - a truly pleasant experience, especially since this is the first time the E.L.I.T.E. internship is happening in-office post-COVID. I got the opportunity to learn about the E.L.I.T.E. program and the various industries Capgemini operates in. It's been amazing to delve deeper into Capgemini's work, and I'm excited to see how I can contribute.
A special highlight of the induction week that I would like to point out is the week-long case competition that is held for the interns. This year, it was designed by the 2023 E.L.I.T.E. Batch and was a wonderful way to get a flavour of the great work that happens within Capgemini. I am excited to announce that my team was the winner of the case competition, and I am really proud of the work we did together. A special shoutout to my team members Rahul Ratan and Sukeshni Deshmukh, as well as our mentor Uttara Athale, who was a great guide throughout the competition!
Here are some of key insights and learnings from the case competition that I would like to share:
• Teamwork Makes Dreamwork: When individuals come together to collaborate, share ideas, and support each other's strengths, the results can be truly remarkable. Without my teammates, I cannot imagine being able to comprehensive approach the case competition problem the way we did together. This allowed us to complement each other’s strengths & experiences and deliver a great final presentation.
• Every Perspective Matters: During the case competition, one of the major learnings for me was to always try to understand the problem from all perspectives. The first step to solving any problem is to first identify the stakeholders and try to look at the problem from their perspectives. When you acknowledge the problem from all angles, only then can you find a true solution that is long-term and scalable.
• Help Will Always Be Provided To Those Who Ask For It: Capgemini boasts a strong culture of open communication and collaboration. The company supports its members by making mentors and senior colleagues available, creating a positive environment for learning and growth. Even during the case competition, I could easily approach my mentor and other seniors for their guidance, which helped me tremendously.
After my induction, I'm currently working under Hardik Budhiraja (He-His) as part of the Capgemini Invent Banking team, and I am looking to learn a great deal under his guidance. This internship is already shaping up to be an amazing journey, and hopefully, I'll have some more insights and learnings to share with you all in the future...
