I am one of many who relocated to Dallas during the pandemic, and I can attest that traffic due to an uptick in commutes for hybrid work schedules drastically increased. Found this stat interesting...
As hybrid work schedules have become commonplace and the cost of living has ballooned since 2020, Dallas-area residents are trading longer commutes for suburban perks like more space and lower housing costs. People who work in Dallas have added on average an extra 35 miles per trip to their commutes post-pandemic, with “super commuting” — over 75 miles — up 29%, a recent analysis by Stanford University researchers found. That’s in line with the nine other metropolitan areas the study examined, and likely due to the fivefold rise in the share of work conducted at home. #transportation #hybridwork

We are pleased to announce our 2024 FSRSD Executive Education Award recipients. Awardees can participate at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business or a program of their choice based on FSRSD approval. How were awards determined? Diverse business leaders were encouraged to apply for the award by member corporations familiar with the business's product and/or service capabilities and believed that the Program could offer tangible benefits to the business owner. Applicants were evaluated on a growth trajectory, geographic market capability, expected outcomes from attending the program, industry impact, and personal and professional development. “Our goal is to provide opportunities for deserving individuals to pursue education and unlock their full potential,” said Marsha Thornton, Chair of FSRSD’s Supplier Development Committee, which oversees the sponsorship selection process. Hi friends! I am back from an amazing 2 month sabbatical where I was fortunate enough to completely unplug and travel to many countries- Thailand, France, Italy, Spain, Monaco and Switzerland. I am forever thankful to Swoon for such an incredible anniversary gift for achieving a 10 year milestone with the company. Thank you to all of my leaders and teammates who have supported my Swoon journey and time off. Let me say this again... I AM BACK! I am so excited to get caught up with clients and see what great things we can achieve together for the remainder of 2024. I of course will need some time to catch up and check-in so please be patient with me 😎 Sneak peek of my trip - photo is from Big Buddha in Samui, Thailand - this country and experience was absolutely lifechanging, and I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to immerse into the culture and make life-long friendships along the way.
