The failure of truck driver training? The driver in question said it was a high wind that pushed him into an oncoming lane on a curve where he then ran head on into a group of motorcyclists. The real question might be, why was was he driving at all, if the winds were fierce? In spite of all the ELDT training hoopla, it's safe to say drivers get little practical training on safely driving a truck. Some still get none at all. It's easy to prove. Of the thousands of new ELDT training providers, the FMCSA has found fault with only a handful. Cursory or perfunctory trainers (the old "CDL Mills") can easily undercut the diligent training providers. Subpar drivers will always reveal their hand. Unfortunately, as in the vid below, they might take unsuspecting members of the public with them . . . #safetrucking #ELDT #truckinsurance https://lnkd.in/g95ECxBB

To all of you lawmakers, why is it that all of you are reluctant to pass laws and enforce those laws for proper driver training, speed limits, tailgating, aggressive driving practices and adding new laws with much higher driving infraction violation fines? Here's my thoughts on this: Fines: (1) If a motor vehicle is observed doing 10 mph over the posted speed limit, the fine should be a minimum of $5,000. ( If you want to get vehicle operator's attention, you need to hit them in the wallet/purse!). (2) Anyone observed doing 15-20 mph over the posted speed limit, the fine should be $8,000. (3) Tailgating Fines: A minimum of $3,000. (4) Texting while driving fines: $ 5,000 (5) Mandate types of training like airlines and the military implement, like simulated driver training. Putting these things in place will do the following: (1) Decrease the amount of motor vehicle crash fatalities! (2) Allow more funding to be used to add more law enforcement officers to assist in driving law enforcement! (3) Decrease the amount of distracted driving behaviors! (4) Provide better driver training opportunities! We are killing more than 40,000 people each year in motor vehicle crashes! 94% if theses crashes are due to drivers making poor decisions! Pass this along to every State lawmaker. We need to make drastic changes to save lives! Safe Driving, Saves Lives! www.trainingwheelzusa.com [email protected] 1-(877)-830-3416 Extension 1001

🚛 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴! 🚛 The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has announced August 25-31 as this year’s Brake Safety Week. This event will focus on ensuring the safety and reliability of commercial motor vehicles through rigorous inspections and educational outreach. 🔍 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Throughout the week, CVSA-certified inspectors will be conducting routine inspections with a special focus on brake systems and components. Vehicles with brake-related out-of-service violations will be removed from roadways until the issues are resolved. This year, inspectors will pay close attention to the condition of brake linings and pads, which could impact a motor carrier’s safety rating. Some jurisdictions will also be using performance-based brake testers (PBBT) to assess vehicle braking performance, ensuring even higher safety standards. 📚 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵: Educational efforts are crucial to the success of Brake Safety Week. Drivers, motor carriers, and industry professionals will need to engage in outreach activities to raise awareness about brake safety. CVSA and law enforcement agencies will provide valuable information to help drivers, motor carriers, owner-operators, and mechanics prepare for the inspections. Over the next few days, I will be posting information to help drivers, fleets, and industry professionals prepare for the upcoming blitz. Stay informed and make sure your brake systems are in top condition! #BrakeSafetyWeek #CVSA #VehicleSafety #TransportationSafety

Failure to Use Your Turn Signal One of the most common driving mistakes that can put you in danger is neglecting to use your turn signal. When you turn or change lanes, this simple act is crucial to ensuring your safety. A quick turn signal is the best way to inform other drivers of your intentions, which gives them time to accommodate you turning a corner or changing lanes. If you don’t use it, no one will know when you plan to slow down and turn or head for a different lane on the highway which means they could accidentally hit you. Defensive training at NOIAA LTD will help you be at your best while on the wheels. #noiaaltd #safetytraining
