🍇Fruitful discussions with the ETSI delegate, Luis Jorge Romero and Issam Toufik on the relevance of O-RAN in the 3GPP network, when and where xApps and rApps shine. 💡We found that unified control and management interfaces are required when the network is multi-vendor or operated by multiple entities (such as cross border scenarios). One key example here is to enable operators to guarantee the target application latency in an end-to-end manner across multiple vendors as users are moving. In our 5G V2X demo, camera feeds requires <10ms guaranteed to create a collective perception among cars. BubbleRAN will continue its commitments and contributions towards standardization to help formation of open ecosystems in 5G and 6G.
