I find Meta's prediction about AR glasses replacing smartphones in the next decade both fascinating and thought-provoking. The concept of seamlessly blending the digital and physical worlds through wearable technology is indeed revolutionary. It opens up a world of possibilities for enhanced user experiences and interaction with technology. The idea of controlling AR glasses through hand and finger movements using EMG signals is particularly intriguing. It suggests a shift towards more intuitive and immersive interfaces, where users can interact with digital content in a more natural and seamless manner. While the transition from smartphones to AR glasses may still seem futuristic, it's exciting to envision the potential impact on various industries, from communication and entertainment to healthcare and education. It will be interesting to see how this technology evolves and how it shapes the way we perceive and interact with the world around us in the years to come.
Meta AI scientist, states that smartphone will be replaced by AR glasses in 10 years He predicts that AR glasses will replace smartphones, with Meta's wrist-based neural device enabling users to control them by tracking hand and finger movements through EMG signals. In 2009, the iPhone was criticized by some as a failure for lacking an app store and even basic features like copy and paste. Fast forward to today, and it's hard to imagine a world without smartphones shaping our daily lives. Similarly, some are quick to dismiss generative AI as a failure because it sometimes hallucinates or produces errors. However, we are in the early stages of this transformative technology. Just as smartphones evolved rapidly to become indispensable, so too will generative AI. Its potential to revolutionize industries and enhance our capabilities is immense. Let's focus on its promise and the incredible journey ahead, rather than its current imperfections. #AI #Innovation #FutureTech #GenerativeAI #TechEvolution
