I really admire and share the foresight to form a PACT with the major truck manufacturers in the USA. What I don’t see, however is any collaboration with utilities or renewable manufacturing players. The impact of a massive fast rollout without future proofing the equipment you wish to deploy will provide undue strain on the utility. Utilities are furiously busy upgrading their infrastructure with the rapid rollout of EV’s. A significant increase in electricity demand due to a poorly planned rollout, will result in higher tariffs for charging and poor uptake of electric commercial vehicles.

It's exciting to see commercial EVs garnering national attention in the NY Times. There are many challenges in electrifying fleets, but there's also been a ton of exciting progress around investing in the charging infrastructure necessary to support this transition.
