Happy Wednesday! Top of the week :) One of my all-time heroines was Audrey Hepburn. To be honest, I dreamt of being her - especially in Roman Holiday where she has the courage to get all her hair chopped off!! More specifically however, one of her quotes (of which many are quite powerful and profound) is this: The best thing we can hold onto is each other. In TEA Mastery (Time:Energy:Attention) creating a support structure around us is an important foundation step. And, one simple way we can build support, get support, feel supported is through the HUG! It's powerful, not mushy btw. 🤗We can hug another human(s) 🌴We can hug nature (tree?) 🐶We can hug animals (pet) 🧣We can even hug things (I often wrap myself in a favourite scarf!) In a world where we are more technologically connected, we have never been more disconnected in terms of humanity. Maybe it's time for us all to have take a daily dose of HUG!? #teawithmel #modernmindsettheory #thepowerofhug #positivethinking #growthmindset #thedilynway #abundancemindset #timemanagement #energymanagement #attentionmanagement

Negotiation and persuasion is a game of strategy - always know your next move based on the moves of the person you are dealing / negotiating with...........

If "Never let them know your next move" was a prairie dog... 💨 Best heist I've ever seen 🤣 ...Boys and girls... Today's lesson is about winning by being unpredictable 👀 Show of hands... how many of us live almost entirely routine-driven lives? ☝🏼🥱 So, how about this for an idea. What if: - Delivering something unexpected creates intrigue - And that Intrigue begins to spark an attraction - And that attraction makes you memorable - And being memorable builds engagement - And engagement creates new successes ...I meaaaan, who in the hell expected to encounter a dolphin-saving, r&b-singing, chartered accountant dad from London with a sense of humour on this platform 🤣 ...and yet, here you all are... 😳💅🏼 It is so counter-intuitive it kinda works! ...So, the real message today? Honestly, I've kinda lost track, not gonna lie!! 🤦🏼♂️ So, I'll just have to go with this. While every one of us expected the prairie dog to saunter up and eat some food out the palm of the child's hand... ...he threw absolutely everyone by darting right and ended up with the biggest prize of all...🏆 Let's goooo FriYay! Ps. The laugh though 😍😂 #StayUnpredictable #BreakTheRoutine #UnexpectedWins

Hello LinkedIn friends, family, and acquaintances, today is NATIONAL COMMON COURTESY DAY | March 21! NATIONAL COMMON COURTESY DAY National Common Courtesy Day on March 21st serves as a reminder of the behavior that keeps society from melting into a sea of madness. In addition, the day brings awareness to how crucial common courtesy is in our lives and provides examples to help us improve. In the Merriam-Webster dictionary, courtesy is described as a: behavior marked by polished manners or respect for others: courteous behavior b: a courteous and respectful act or expression. Common courtesy can be as simple as saying "please" and "thank you" when asking for and receiving a service, gift, or assistance. Kindness and courtesy go a long way and are noticed by others even if you do not realize it. Letting someone in front of you in traffic is easy. Hold open a door for someone or give a person a hand with his groceries. Give up your seat on the bus to someone who might need it. Introduce yourself to the new employee or kid at school and take the time to introduce them to the rest of the crew. A polite enemy is just as difficult to discredit, as a rude friend is to protect. - Bryant H. McGill These examples provide a glimpse into how you can infuse courtesy into your life. Momentary deeds of courtesy may be incremental, but they might make a huge difference in someone's life. #CommonCourtesyDay #DallasHarrisTips

My 2 cents? Being and staying positive in life involves a combination of mindset, habits, and actions. Here are some strategies I use to cultivate and maintain a Daily Reflection: Take a few moments each day to reflect on what you are grateful for. This could be done through a gratitude journal where you write down three things you appreciate each day. Positive Relationships: Spend time with people who uplift and inspire you. Positive relationships can significantly affect your mood and outlook. Inspirational Content: Consume media that promotes positivity, whether it’s books, podcasts, movies, or social media accounts. Physical Health: Regular exercise, a balanced diet, and adequate sleep can have a profound impact on your mental well-being. Mental Health: Practice mindfulness, meditation, or yoga to help manage stress and maintain mental clarity. Short-Term and Long-Term Goals: Having goals gives you something to strive for and a sense of purpose. Celebrate small achievements along the way. Flexible Plans: Be adaptable and open to changing your plans if needed. Flexibility helps you handle setbacks positively. Positive Affirmations: Use positive affirmations to build confidence and self-esteem. Statements like "I am capable" or "I am deserving of happiness" can reframe your mindset. Reframe Negative Thoughts: When you catch yourself thinking negatively, try to reframe the thought in a more positive light. For example, instead of saying, "I failed," say, "I learned something new." Helping Others: Engage in acts of kindness, whether big or small. Helping others can increase your sense of purpose and boost your mood. Volunteer Work: Get involved in volunteer activities that align with your interests and values. Mindfulness: Practice staying present and fully engaged in the current moment. This can reduce anxiety and increase your appreciation for life’s little moments. Acceptance: Accept that not everything will go as planned. Embrace uncertainty and focus on what you can control. New Skills and Hobbies: Learning new things can keep your mind active and engaged, providing a sense of accomplishment and joy. Personal Development: Invest time in personal development through reading, courses, or workshops that promote positive thinking and self-improvement. Limit Negative Media: Be selective about the news and media you consume. Too much exposure to negative news can be draining. Set Boundaries: Protect your energy by setting boundaries with people who drain you or situations that bring you down. Acknowledge Achievements: No matter how small, acknowledge and celebrate your achievements. This reinforces positive behavior and motivation. Reward Yourself: Treat yourself for reaching milestones, whether it’s a day off, a nice meal, or any small reward that makes you happy. Staying positive is an ongoing process that requires effort and intention. By incorporating these strategies into your daily life, you can foster a more positive and resilient mindset.

📚 KNOWLEDGE, FURY AND AUTHENTICITY 🔥 Got a chance to watch Furiosa last week in the cinema and I got so much out of it. It was a slow burn. Lots of explanation of how we got to the version of Furiosa in Fury Road, but there was a big hole that I wish I saw more of on screen. Nobody told us how much knowledge, skills and focus she had! She must’ve been thoroughly educated, informed and well read even for that world. I know that stuck with me as I went home and processed it all. It reminded me of how I was taught to cook, clean and show respect to others for my first ten years. More than anything, it showed me (beyond her need for revenge) to be relentlessly adaptable individually but also find somewhere to belong in community. That there is a way to be yourself in a world that is relentlessly pulling you in all sorts of directions and belong at the same time. How are you relentlessly yourself in life, business and everything? #intuitivecoaching #professionaldevelopment #personaldevelopment
