✨ Exciting News! ✨ 📚✨Large Financial Organisation Donates Books to 3 Local Schools! ✨📚 Guess who the curators are? We are super delighted to share news about a generous donation from a large financial organisation to create much needed impact in the lives of children in the local community. Grass roots Corporate Social Responsibility at its best! Every child deserves access to good books and to the lifelong benefits that reading can bring to their academic, social, economic and emotional outcomes. So when we secured the donation of books to 3 schools in the local community, we did a protracted happy dance because this is a surefire way to make a difference to the national concern that is the rapidly declining literacy rate in the UK . What an opportunity to do good well! The sort of good that’s made in Corporate Social Responsibility heaven. Better reading attainment in no small way plays into financial independence, security and better chances in life. A solid way to uplevel the school to workplace pipeline while obtaining and maintaining local goodwill. The bigger picture and long term result; a vibrant and empowered talent pool which ensures that the local community and businesses can thrive. This donation will enable Happier Every Chapter to provide 100 inclusive and diverse books to each of the selected 3 local schools for the 2024/25 academic year! The books which are aligned to school topics and the wider curriculum and will go such a long way to enrich wider learning and, diversity awareness representation. So much gratitude for the significant impact which will go a long way to enrich the libraries of 3 carefully selected local schools; Northampton International Academy, Rectory Farm Primary and Chiltern Primary Schools. Enough cannot be said about this sort of commitment to supporting education and promoting inclusivity in the Local community. If you are a corporate with a desire to make this sort of difference, message me for more information. Stay tuned for updates as the books drop with the happy recipients 📖❤️ #education #literacy #readingforpleasure #primaryschools #teachers #diversityandinclusion

Why Donating School Supplies to Low-Income Students is Crucial With the back-to-school season approaching, the importance of supporting students in need becomes evident. Not all families can afford the essential school supplies that are crucial for their children's success. Community support through donations plays a vital role in ensuring every child has an equal opportunity to thrive academically. Ensuring Equal Opportunities for All Students Access to necessary resources is key in providing equal opportunities for all students. By donating towards school supplies, you help break down barriers to learning and level the playing field for those who may otherwise be at a disadvantage. Your generosity enables students to focus on their education, stay organized, meet deadlines, and actively engage in classroom activities, ultimately enhancing their academic performance and fostering a positive attitude towards learning. Supporting Families and Fostering Belonging For families facing financial challenges, the cost of back-to-school shopping can be overwhelming. What are independent schools? As a parent exploring school options, you may come across the terms "independent schools" and "private schools." You may wonder wonder - what exactly do those mean? Here's a quick primer: Independent schools (also known as private schools) are not managed by the government or local authorities. They are funded through tuition fees paid by parents. They also receive private donations, endowments etc. Within the independent school sector, there are several different school types: Pre-preps: Feed into prep schools, from ages 3-7 Prep schools: Prepare students for entry into fee-paying senior schools. Ages 3-13 Day schools: Students go home after classes end Boarding schools: Provide accommodation and care for students alongside education. Choir schools: Attached to cathedrals/churches, train choristers. Independent schools have more flexibility over curriculum, teacher hiring and facilities. They control their own admissions and may interview students before offering a place. They offer a private education model with smaller classes, varied facilities, and a unique culture and community. Families pay for this through school fees. #independentschools #privateschools #schoolchoice #alternativeschooling #prepboardingchoir

These students' 101 reasons to read are OUR 101 reasons to give. The bright minds of Cozine Elementary School (plus two graduates from our Readers in Training program) share stories on why reading is important to them. Spread the Word Nevada is a children’s literacy nonprofit, 501 (C)(3) corporation, dedicated to advancing early childhood literacy by placing books into the hands and homes of children within Nevada’s at-risk, low income communities. While developing a love of reading, these libraries promote future academic achievement and self-confidence, which impacts lifelong success.
