This International Women’s Day we’re taking a moment to reflect. As impactful agents of change, we are committed to championing equality and empowerment for women through our work and our internal policies. These are some of the stories we’re most proud of from the last couple of years, which are available for you to make the most of today: 🎥 Over the last 23 years in film and content production, off-screen contributions by women have seen minimal progress, increasing from 17% in 1998 to just 25% in 2021. One client remarked, 'There are no good female directors. We looked.' To address this, AnalogFolk Group (AFG) launched Untold Fable with founder and CEO Kate Tancred. Untold Fable is a tech powered production company built with diversity at its heart, connecting clients with a global network of talent including women and marginalised groups, while offering clients the capability to measure D&I statistics across productions. 📣 IWD began as a day of protest against the inequalities women face. Today, it’s been hijacked into a day of commercialism. We launched ‘Still Present’ – a digital campaign and protest pack designed to remind the world about the real purpose of IWD, and give people tools to act for tomorrow. https://lnkd.in/eRM-xDVr 📸 Untold Fable leveraged an Elvie campaign to raise awareness of the low contribution made by women in production. The short film features interviews with cast, crew, and clients on set that day which consisted of 40% BIPOC and over 70% females, providing them with a platform to share their stories. https://lnkd.in/eq-aeMi6 🤖 We developed BigUp.AI an award-winning AI tool that helps women describe their skills more confidently. And, in turn, to reconsider the language they use to talk about themselves. It uses cutting-edge Microsoft LUIS Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning technology to identify passive language and give more powerful, positive alternatives. https://lnkd.in/eVgCGpRz 📚 In partnership with Canesten | Bayer | Consumer Health we developed and launched the 'Vagina Academy,' an award-winning, purpose-driven global educational platform. Last Saturday (25/11) was the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and AI has everything to do with it 📌 . It's been 25 birthdays that I don't have my mom next to me and 10 that I don't have my grandma. My mom was a victim of feminicide when this wasn't "a thing". My grandma and I were psychologically tortured for 15 years until she couldn't bare it any longer. It's been 10 years that I changed my name and almost 5 that I started again in a new continent 🌏 . All of this required just 1 man. As people say, not all men, but always a man. Last Saturday (25/11) it was also my birthday 🎂 . I turned 30 with the privilege to be surrounded by amazing friends to celebrate with me, some coming from different countries, including Brazil! I am beyond grateful as I am entering my 3rd decade of life full of love ❤️ . Most women are not that lucky. ✨ People keep talking about AI existential risks when the biggest existential threat a woman might face lives under the same roof. This is not a guess or just the reflex of my own experience. This is data. According to the UN " a woman or girl is killed by someone in her own family every 11 minutes". https://lnkd.in/e5EcJZ6W AI has the potential to uphold women's rights but natural intelligences (humans) need to start seeing women more than a quota to be filled, as a same value participant of our society. The gender gap in STEM is real and in a highly technological times, it's no surprise that the ones left behind are the ones in most danger. This is why I pushed myself out of my legal/political science "comfort" zone and landed in a Computer Science department. Everyone needs to see that yes, there's so much the AI ecosystem can do to eliminate violence against women and most ICT people don't even connect these dots. Feminist AI, gender bias, equity, if we already had the chance to talk, most likely you heard that from me. And I won't stop (:

As gen AI continues to rise, it will impact every industry at a global scale. Yet, women are already being left behind with only 26% of women making up the AI workforce. With the global AI market set to reach $190.61B by 2025, together, we will produce original content that supports women climbing the ranks in the business world, creating equitable outcomes in their personal lives and closing the gender gap. The AI Opportunity will launch later this year with brand partners committed to empowering women in AI through this trillion dollar industry, changing the course of tech for generations to come. The first of many campaigns, our partnership will also address gender gaps in other industries, including women in sports.
