There is no debating that Delaware is a Tech Hub! This is not just a slogan but both a statement of fact and a mandate. The Tech Council of Delaware is leading the charge of telling Delaware’s story as a #techhub. We are collaborating with two of our strategic partners, Technical.ly and Launch Point Labs, to create three publications in 2024 that highlight the unique attributes, people, places, and assets that make the First State the Best State for Tech. While there are many accomplishments the Council can tout related to developing a strong tech ecosystem and building inclusive tech talent pipelines, we are not the only entity putting Delaware on the map as a #techhub; and we believe that this is a good thing! We do, however, intend to create a big tent that welcomes other Delaware-based organizations into the Council to collaborate with us in telling Delaware's story as a #techhub.   We began the storytelling project by inviting key stakeholders leading tech-related initiatives to join Council members during the first-ever Tech Ecosystem Conference on October 26th and brainstorm the many aspects that make Delaware a #techhub and an attractive destination state for new companies, start-ups, and tech professionals.   Check out this recent article by the Council’s executive director, Zakiyyah Ali, explaining why we must continue to Do The Work of being a #techhub and do this work together! Connect with us via the options shown below and Do The Work with the Tech Council of Delaware! We are stronger together! https://lnkd.in/e5ep8V8v ► Become a Member: https://lnkd.in/eikmiqfm ► Support as a Sponsor: https://lnkd.in/et7NrQ8D ► Send us an e-mail: [email protected] Delaware is a Tech hub! #tech #technology #delaware #techhub

This past week, I attended #SXSW24 in #ATX, a city renowned for its vibrant culture, hipster vibes, and innovative spirit. I talked to founders and funders from Argentina, Ukraine, Spain, India, Austin, San Francisco, and Michigan. I learned and saw that a blossoming ecosystem is a testament to the power of collaboration. This isn't just about technology or music; it's about creating a seamless community where diverse minds from business, government, academia, and even the arts converge to reimagine the future. A critical lesson I learned in Austin is that breaking down silos and fostering interdisciplinary dialogue isn't just beneficial; it's essential. At gatherings like SXSW, you feel the palpable energy of "possibility?" The city's unique blend of tech-savvy, academic excellence, and entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with a commitment to collaboration, positions it as a leader in the burgeoning fields of medical startups, AI startups, and beyond. The future of innovation lies in our ability to work together, breaking down traditional barriers to foster new ideas and solutions. Austin's story is a rallying cry to leaders everywhere: "To innovate, we must integrate." Listen up #Michigan, if you want to grow, take inspiration from what works in places like Austin, Boston, Salt Lake City, Miami, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley. It's time to set regional differences aside, stop marking our territory, and leap into a collaborative future where the boundaries between regional borders and disciplines no longer exist.
