yessi vadila, Trade Analyst, Ministry of Trade will be presenting a session at the 19th Indonesian Regional Science Association (IRSA) International Conference 2024, in Ambon on July 15-16, 2024. In this conference, Yessi will discuss a paper entitled ‘Labor Market Impact of Export in a Commodity-Dependent Nation: A Case of Indonesia’ to show how the impact of export extension in Indonesia. This paper is part of a collaboration with CIPS for the #BehindTheStudy series on the impact of trade in Indonesia and supported by Templeton World Charity Foundation Yessi and CIPS are in a joint research project titled 'The Distributional Impact of Trade on Human Flourishing in Indonesia'  It aims to engage stakeholders from academia to gain valuable insights and feedback from them on the ongoing research efforts. We wish Yessi Vadila all the best for the upcoming 19th IRSA International Conference, hopefully our paper will also have a good impact on the conference attendees.

Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. Airlangga Hartarto, together with the Indonesian Ambassador for Australia, Mr. Siswo Pramono, Deputy Minister for Investment Promotion, Mr. Nurul Ichwan, and Director of IIPC Sydney, Mr. Haryo Sedewo, held a meeting with the CEOs of Australian companies to ensure the realization of investments in priority sectors. These sectors include the downstreaming of mineral resources, green energy-oriented smelters, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), the development of education services in the new capital city of Indonesia (IKN), medical services and equipment, and the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA). The collaborative efforts between Indonesia and Australia are crucial for fostering economic growth and sustainability in both nations.
