Exhaust fire is a common sight in Indonesia. Today as I was passing by a restaurant near our project site, I noticed that the exhaust system is burned. I cannot emphasize enough that exhaust system has to be cleaned and serviced regularly to prevent grease buildup.

This is brilliant! Peter loved culinary. A motorcycle accident left him disabled. He create a simple solutions that let him do what he loves. He created this system that aids him in walking and standing. It relives the strain on his legs and torso, and his hands free so he can do his job. Without it his legs were too weak to support his body. And current available techs were not customized enough for him to do his job.

I know Asians are not known to be tall but this is unacceptable. It is clear that someone messed up the ceiling installation works. As a consultant, we must be there to check at every stage of installation in accordance to renovation schedule. As the saying goes “Measure Twice, Cut Once”

It is unfortunate that Consultants recommendations and also expert opinions are not always heeded by clients. There was a small fire in one of my recent projects in their kitchen. Prior to handing over to the operational team, it was recommended that the e Fire Suppression System should be installed and activated. And apparently it wasn’t done as per my recommendation. I strongly suggest F&B operators not to take fire safety lightly and should always conduct basic fire fighting and first aid training for their team.
