I often find myself applying the skills and lessons I learned from music to my current role as a tech sales professional. Listening is also essential in tech sales, as it helps you understand your customers’ needs, challenges, and goals. By listening actively and empathetically, you can build trust and rapport with your customers and offer them a solution that best aligns with their problems. Creativity: Music is a creative art form that allows you to express yourself and explore new possibilities. Creativity is also essential in tech sales, as it helps you find innovative ways to solve your customers’ problems, overcome objections, and differentiate yourself from the competition. By being creative, you can add value and delight to your customers and stand out from the crowd. Persistence: Music is a demanding discipline that requires a lot of practice, patience, and perseverance. Persistence is also crucial in tech sales, as it helps you overcome challenges, learn from failures, and achieve your goals. By being persistent, you can demonstrate your commitment and professionalism to your customers and yourself. These are just some ways music has helped me in tech sales. I am grateful for the musical experiences that I had and the skills that I developed from them. Music and tech sales are both rewarding and fulfilling careers that can enrich your life and the lives of others. Maintaining high-volume daily KPIs and metrics around activity and closed deals has been both challenging and rewarding. Some of my key responsibilities include: • Researching, prospecting, and selling new studio, gym, and wellness partners to expand ClassPass’s geographic footprint. • Managing my pipeline using CRM, email, and outreach tools. • Regularly communicating successes and roadblocks to better inform the team’s goals and targets. • Developing creative, fun, and innovative ways to connect with potential partners. • Using English 100% of the time to engage with US-based prospects and partners. I’m about to complete 30 days, and here are some exciting milestones I’ve achieved so far: • Officially Pitch Certified. • Achieved 112% of my quota and closed 3 out of 3 new partner venues, all within just two weeks of starting.
