It's Thursday, usually it means I'll be looking forward to the "☕️ Technology for Breakfast" session with my teams. Technology for Breakfast, or later nicknamed as "Techfirst", is an ad-hoc meeting for techies to discuss and debate tech without any strings attached (i.e. not expected to be work related). We've had a lot of meaningful debates, discussed a wide variety of technologies (including the topic of AI and how it could be useful recently) and some of the discussions paved the path to very innovative solutions. Why is it important to get distracted by such none work related discussions? Main reason is so we don’t get left behind in today’s fast changing environment. Having a forum to discuss changes in technologies also helps the teams to be aware and debate how they might be useful or how something might make what we currently do redundant, helps to build a learning culture, and a distraction to recharge. Today feels a bit surreal. About 4 months ago my business partner (Kimberly Reynolds) and I decided to make a major pivot. Instead of trying to do what we saw so many other marketers and business leaders doing, we took a chance on something completely different. But there was a BIG catch. In order to make the shift, we had to stop doing what was generating revenue for us. We also had to turn aside something that had taken us 3 months and hundreds of hours to build. For 4 months we worked tirelessly to create a new AI product unlike anything designed before, a fully customized, all-in-one solution. It was bold, innovative, and unique. Today feels surreal because we just launched the closed beta for this product. Its a major milestone, and if you are familiar with software development, 4 months of development is not a lot of time. But here we are, with not just a prototype but a near final version of an AI Engine filled with robust tools. I have been anticipating this launch for months and its wild to see it so close to being here.
