I’ve always used Temple physicians in the past 30+years exclusively with no issues & total satisfaction. However, a recent experience has left me feeling quite the opposite on many levels. I received terrible patient care both in the ER & the a clinical practices. Actually it’s been a fiasco & great disappointment. Shocking how terrible an experience I’ve had that has left me dismayed at how awful the medical care had been following a surgery. I’ve been to the ER twice, the 1st time @ TUH greatly worsening my condition & the second at CHH ER where the results & treatment was helpful in correcting the mistakes in the TUH ER but still not the correct treatment. My infection got worse not better. I was told I needed another surgery to correct the infection & then had that refuted by a 2nd opinion saying that surgery was unnecessary. I’m undergoing wound care treatment currently & hopefully it cures the infection. I’d never use the surgeon again & will probably start using another Heath System after over being a loyal Temple advocate. I can’t recommend TUH for best medical practices in good conscience. My treatment has been a disaster except for the last surgeon who was most helpful when I demanded an immediate second opinion.
