As we navigate through life, it's important to remember our part in the community. For over a decade, my family has been supporting the charity Birthday Wishes. From delivering Birthday-in-a-Box to homeless shelters to work-related activities, we all help in the capacity we can. Before supporting Birthday Wishes, I didn't fully appreciate the positive impact charitable work can have. However, being part of an organization that directly provides over 300 Birthday-in-a-Boxs a month to families in need has been one of the most rewarding activities I've been part of. My two asks for you: 1) Find a charity you believe in and lean into it. It doesn't matter what you do, just find something you love to do. 2) If you're looking for a team-building event, please consider Birthday Wishes. There are multiple ways to support, from corporate sponsorships to team-building events. Everyone deserves a birthday. And a special shoutout to my daughter for collecting over 200 new toys to be distributed for Birthday Wishes. Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust's Therapies team needs your help! 🆘 As you can see, this small outdoor space in our Therapy Outpatients department could do with a little TLC... 💚 It’s a neglected space that has potential to be so much more.  As its situated in the middle of the department, surrounded by windows, patients, visitors, and staff can see out to the courtyard – and we’re sure you’ll agree, it’s not particularly inspiring. It’s not open to the public but staff currently access the space to store hospital equipment through those two doors on the right.  With your support, we can turn a lifeless and unappealing area into a special sanctuary for staff to take timeout, reflect, socialise, and simply enjoy the benefits of getting some fresh air during their busy day. So, how can you help? 🏵️ Donate potted plants, climbers, seating, arches, or decorative garden items  💚 Make a donation to our charity and we’ll allocate it to this project   ✨ Volunteer your time to de-weed and tidy  💡Suggest other ways you or your company could improve the courtyard – we're always open to ideas! We're excited about Giving Tuesday! Giving Tuesday is Love made visible! Did you know nonprofits raised $3.1 Billion in the US alone on #GivingTuesday in 2022? #Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement of people donating to causes they believe in. #GivingTuesday comes up on the 28th of November this year. Kindness is the invisible knot that ties humanity together as one large family and Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to extend kindness, love and light through generous acts of giving. No cause is loftier and more honorable than easing another’s pain and alleviating their suffering through acts of kindness. Nothing is more fulfilling than the opportunity to make the world a better place. Giving Tuesday affords us the opportunity to put a smile on everyone’s faces and that’s why we’re ecstatic about this time of the year. We get to stay home with our loved ones, laugh our hearts out and revel in the beauty of community and belonging. It’s also a time to unwind and recharge, reminisce and create new memories as well as show kindness to those in need. This is what giving Tuesday is about. We share each other’s burden and spread a message of hope through all the charitable initiatives we donate towards. We are better ancestors for lessening the burden and for contributing towards creating conditions necessary for all to thrive.
