Cirujana de Cabeza y Cuello (Head and Neck Surgeon) | Especialista en tiroides | Máster en Ablación por Radiofrecuencia| Cirugia Robótica.
** Another successful case of RADIOFREQUENCY ABLATION. This involves a patient who underwent multiple surgical interventions for metastatic thyroid cancer. After three surgeries, confirmed persistence by cytology at the left paratracheal level; a fourth surgery would increase MORBIDITY. I chose to perform radiofrequency ablation since it is a minimally invasive procedure. In this 6-month follow-up ultrasound, we can observe the disappearance of the lesion, accompanied by a decrease in tumor markers. This underscores that radiofrequency is a safe and effective technique when appropriately indicated. #thyroid #ablation #radiofrequency #salvatutiroides #minimalinvasive #thyroidcancer
