Together, they assembled an amazing team of IFC and World Bank colleagues to align processes and launch the Hybrid Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) Initiative. In Hybrid PPPs, we have a One World Bank Group solution for governments in developing economies to attract private capital into critical public assets and services that will make a difference for communities. Her unwavering ambition, passion for learning, and dedication make her a true asset to our company. 👉  If I say Ambition, you say… I'm thinking about what one wants to achieve in life and the goals one has in life. 👉 In what areas of your life have you been, or still are, particularly ambitious? Well, I'm quite old now, so my ambitions aren't as big as they used to be. I don't really have any other ambitions than to have a good life. Having a good life is an ambition in itself. However, professionally, I don't have an ambition or a goal to be something other than what I am. I'd like to keep learning new things all the time, but there aren't any specific things I think of as goals other than thriving. 👉 What achievements are you proud of and determined to pursue further? I'm self-taught and don't have a formal education in this field. I've been in the warehousing and logistics industry for over 25 years, and it's gone quite well without that degree. It's a combination of drive and just becoming part of everyday life. When you thrive in it, you might not think about it too much. In terms of work, I would like to learn more, but we also do that in small steps all the time here. 👉 Reflecting on your 18-year-old self and their ambitions, what has changed as you've grown? When I was young and had to choose what I wanted to be, I wanted to be a motorcycle officer. That way, I could ride a motorcycle and be a police officer at the same time. But you have to be 21 to apply to the police academy, and when I finished school – what was then called EFG – I wasn't 21 yet. So I had to come up with something else. When I was 22, I had my first son, and life just took a different path. We’re so happy that Betina is on our team, and we value her eagerness to learn and her optimistic way of thinking. Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) have emerged as a promising class of cancer therapeutics -- After revolutionizing the treatment of HER2+ and TNBC MBC finally the ADCs joined the treatment arsenal of HR+ mBC -- T-DXd is approved in metastatic hormone refractory HR+/HER2 low mBC that had previously received at least one line of chemotherapy in metastatic setting -- SG is approved in any hormone refractory HR+/ HER2- mBC that had received at least 2 lines of systematic therapy -- We desperately need to identify biomarkers to predict their efficacy and inform the treatment sequencing

It's a bittersweet day for Filipinos today (Feb. 24). We're celebrating the 38th anniversary of EDSA #peoplepower , a revolution that ousted a dictator (Ferdinand Edralin Marcos) and sparked hope for a brighter future. But there's a thick layer of irony clouding the festivities. The Marcoses, the very family EDSA dethroned in 1986, are back in power. It's like watching a historical movie in rewind, only this time, the ending feels uncertain. The dream of a truly democratic Philippines seems to be slipping away. Worse, #corruption remains a stubborn stain, and #politicaldynasties tighten their grip like families running a business. It begs the question: Did EDSA fail us, or did we fail to live up to its ideals? This isn't just a Filipino question. It's a universal one. Revolutions, no matter how grand, are only as lasting as the commitment to the values they represent. EDSA's legacy is a stark reminder that vigilance and active participation are crucial for safeguarding the hard-won gains of any revolution. Whether EDSA failed us or the other way around is a complex question. But one thing is clear: the fight for a just and equitable Philippines continues. The spirit of EDSA, the spirit of the people, may be tested, but it's far from extinguished. It's a flickering flame that needs to be nurtured and passed on to future generations, reminding them that the power, truly, lies in the hands of the people. ©️🇵🇭
