So Baya Systems just came out of stealth with their chiplet fabric solution and it looks like Tenstorrent are going to use them to accelerate their development. I assume this will allow Tenstorrent to focus on the compute elements while Baya takes care of the connectivitity between those elements. Pretty interesting and goes some way to show how complex the communication fabric on an SoC/Chiplet is becoming. As standards like Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express (UCIe) continue to mature it will be interesting to see where this all leads. Silicon seems to be pretty hot right now as AI continues to explore and drive demand for new SoCs that can do a lot of linear math on a lot of data for zero power in zero time 😀 !
