For several years I have been supporting and helping caregivers know they are not alone, and you can see how difficult it is when it is your turn.
This is a sweet post of a son and his mom who has dementia.
It is one of the most challenging times in a person's life.
Did you know that your chances of caring for your mom is huge?
It is something very few people prepare for.
When it happens, it is usually something of a crisis that the doctor or someone says they cannot go home alone.
When it happens suddenly, there is the emotional aspect of the events that causes more grief because it was unexpected.
Parents do not always want to be cared for.
They do not want to lose control...even when they need help.
The can be less cooperative if they feel that someone else is trying to take over and make decisions for them.
You should stop and think about where you are in your life ... where your parents are in their lives...and how many challenges they may have already experienced that can be a warning that the time might be sooner...rather than later.
In this video, Sebastian and his mom are in sweet moods.
However, dementia can sometimes make others angry, hard to deal with, uncooperative... and difficult for everyone in the situation.
Have a visit with your parents about their wishes.
See what plans they have made already.
They may not want to be moved, but what if they have no choice?
What if it happens when you are still raising your children?

How beautiful it would be if we are ‘conscious’ while we are ‘not’ ?
Being conscious is an effort, a practice, that one can master over a period of time.
It doesn’t only help us stay aware about our actions alone, but reflects in our behaviour, our decisions and our lifestyle as well.
Furthermore, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that it hugely impacts our relationships- personal, as well as professional.
If it is a choice, then why not to choose and master this amazing practice - for us, and for all those who matter to us?
So tomorrow it stays with us, no matter what condition we are in.

We must put an end to this infanticide. Our collective silence in the face of such atrocities is complicit in their continuation. It's time to raise our voices, spread awareness, and take concrete steps to protect the most vulnerable members of our global community.
Remember, your voice matters. By staying informed, sharing verified information, and supporting reputable humanitarian organizations, we can make a difference. Let's break the silence and work together to safeguard the lives and futures of children caught in conflict zones.

This is an insight into the closing of a man's last chapter where his physical pain was "stealing" his life.. and he chose to end it by comparing its content up until that point with what he felt was left in his present & future.. AND coming to the conclusion that he had "lived" BUT was struggling to do so now.
