🌍 Every year, our fully remote team comes together for a week of bonding, fun, and celebration. This year, we added a twist by dedicating an additional day to connecting virtually through engaging activities! Since our in-person gathering is called Whoop!, we decided to name the online kickoff for this year's event Whoop! Loading. 🔃 We had a few goals for Whoop! Loading: 🗺 Embrace and elevate our remote culture 🎉 Have fun together in a slightly different context to our everyday work 🎂 Celebrate our 4th TestGorilla birthday ✈ Get excited for Whoop! in Croatia later this year 🤝 Include everyone, whether they’ll join our live event or not Our team had a blast with various activities, including a fantastic Croatian cooking demo hosted by our Senior Product Manager, Gustavo. What do we need a big stakeholder events for? Well, some can say its useless, time-waste corporate mumbo-jumbo with flashy ideas which will never be valid in location “x” <- insert your current location here. I believe however it’s quite the contrary. Those are not only a moment where you can actually experience and hear the strategy firsthand, but also a great opportunity for your ideas to be heard (and most of us are guilty of moaning on that) and to do some networking. Yesterday I had a pleasure to attend the Commerzbank Roadshow Townhall which indeed was a splendid experience, and trust me on that one, I’ve to quite a few 😊 Great speeches given by the COO -Jörg Oliveri del Castillo-Schulz and CHRO – Sabine Mlnarski showed me (and others), as the new joiner what the company is all about. #Strategy, #attitude, #values, #tools, and #opportunities. Everything was there! And to add some icing on top it was overall a cool #teambuilding experience! So, the next time you go to one, ask the question! Let your voice be heard!
