Did you know the black triangle spot on a window seat in an airplane? It marks the location of what has been called "William Shatner's Seat," the seat with the clearest view of the wing. Normally, the pilot or the cabin crew walk down the cabin to have a look through the window where the triangle is located the check the position of the slats or flaps. So fly in a seat with the black triangle to get the best view of the wings! The triangle is to sign to flight attendants the exact point where the various zone of the plane start or end. The zones are used to load the passengers in order to achieve a good center of gravity of the plane for take off and landing.
