PowerShare on the Tesla Cybertruck is such a big deal. The Cybertruck has a 123 kWh battery. A Tesla Powerwall battery is only 13.5 kWh. If people who already have Tesla Solar and Powerwalls, using Cybertruck PowerShare is like adding an additional 9 Tesla Powerwalls to your house! Also if you lost power in your home for an extended period of time, you could drive your Cybertruck to a supercharger with power, and drive back home and be good for several more days. Each PowerWall cost about $8400 and 9 units equal $75,600. Basically you get a free truck. Why buy powerwalls at all? Just get the CT instead. My average electricity usage is about 1 kWh and 123 kWh could keep me going for 5 days during power outage.

Hassie Electrical are now taking orders for Tesla Powerwall3. Some amazing new features that we know customers will love 🔺 Continuous discharge of 11.5KW compared to 5KW with Powerwall 2 🔺 LFP chemistry for longer lifespan 🔺 13.5kwh DC battery with built in solar inverter, multiple MMP tracking allowing panel arrays to face three directions 🔺 DC expansion packs coming later this year with potential for up to four PW3s and 12 DC expansion packs. That’s a maximum of 46KW AC and 216 kwh capacity with 16 units on a single gateway. 🔺 Bidirectional charging (vehicle to home charging for Tesla models) expected in 2025 🚗

We took possession of our Tesla Model Y at the end of December 2023. In total the car has consumed 2,856 kWh. Typically we charge at home (grid + solar), but on trips superchargers and destination chargers are used. The attached image shows the breakdown of the charge sources and the estimated overall savings compared to a traditional gas vehicle. The home charge costs are over estimated since the car doesn’t differentiate when power comes from solar. Part of the promotion when purchasing the car last year was 6 months of free supercharging, which has a been a great benefit in terms of savings.

🔋 Will the Tesla Powerwall 3 change the market as we know it? From what I understand: Thanks to its built-in inverter, the PW3 will reduce the cost of installation by as much as £1000 👉 Provided installers don't hike up the price of the Powerwall 3 too much With DC expansion packs, customers will be able to increase storage capacity for much less than the cost of an entire PW3. Running a heat-pump will be light work for the PW3 given its outrageously high power output of 11.04kW Will the Powerwall 3 be the obvious choice for customers looking to add 10+ kWh of battery storage? Installers...what do you think?

I look forward to Tesla Energy coming to the UK. They have launched unlimited charging at a fix cost in the US. I hear they have required BSC licenses for the UK as well.. I feel they not only think more holistically about vehicle ownership and energy, but the way they structure their ecosystem benefits is interesting to observe #ev #netzero #innovation
