Earlier today as The Walt Disney Company held another Town Hall Meeting with Disney CEO Bob Iger, that was moderated by ABC News anchor David Muir (around this time last year is when Iger was reinstated unexpectedly as CEO of The House of Mouse) from the ousting of former Disney CEO Bob Chapek. Some of the top brass from other company execs from DMED, Direct to Consumer, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products were there today and even Iger has admitted for running the company for 15-years and stated: “I knew that there were myriad challenges that I would face coming back,” Iger said. “I won’t say that it was easy, but I’ve never second guessed the decision to come back, and being back still feels great.” Even for the theme parks and even in a previous memo and where also Iger said: “As I reflect on the immense progress we've made this year and look ahead to the many opportunities before us, I'm grateful to all of you - the people of this great company - for the tremendous work you do each and every day to ensure we continue delivering incredible entertainment for our audiences, guests, and fans all over the world." -> https://lnkd.in/gcmsx-E9 -> https://lnkd.in/gadTunAk #thewaltdisneycompany #disneycastlife #disneyworld #disneyland #disneyparks #disney100 #businessnews #businessanalysis #entertainmentnews #entertainmentindustry #disneylife #industrynews #newsupdate #newstoday #popculture

Happy 100 years of existence to one of the world's most iconic brands 🏰 Disney was founded in 1923. Since then, the global economy has experienced at least 8 recessions (not including the current economic downturn). The business has been able to weather these storms due to the enduring strength of the Disney brand and live well beyond its Founder, Walt Disney, who died in 1966. So, how does Disney's brand strength stack up in 2023? 👀 According to Tracksuit's data, in the United States, Disney has 86% brand awareness, 62% consideration, 57% usage and 12% preference, while its brand associations (pictured) is generally positive. We'll pop a link to the key features shared by the world’s most recognisable brands (and how to measure them) in the comments 👇

Disney CEO Bob Iger tells employees he wants to start "building again". As a Disney fan and a reoccurring visitor to their parks, I want to preface that this is just my opinion on my take on what I think is going on with The Walt Disney Co. Why isn't Disney the "juggernauts" they once were? Park attendance is down. Well, if I have to take out a loan just to visit your theme park, we may need to have a conversation. Look, I get it, you have to buy your attendance. New rides, new realms, you need to do something to keep your guests coming back. And well, you have to offset those costs somewhere, but not so much that people feel they need to go into debt just to visit. It's because no one wants to go to the movies anymore! Not really. The top 4 movies of 2023 domestically were Barbie, The Super Mario Bros Movie, Spider-Man: Across the Universe, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Heck, Five Nights at Freddys performed very well. It is now Blumhouse's highest grossing movie at the global box office. What do these movies have in common? Well, they are all IP titles and or sequels. What this tells me is people will flock to the theaters for not just the characters, but characters we the audience love and for the unique stories they tell. Do I believe The Walt Disney Co. will turnaround, absolutely. This is a time where they need to look themselves in the mirror (which I'm sure they are doing). Let's get back to the basics when it comes to the guest experience. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the current state of The Walt Disney Co. #waltdisney #bobiger #waltdisneyworld #marvel #boxoffice #themepark https://lnkd.in/g6kX38TY

Fifty-eight years ago this week, Walt and Roy Disney held a press conference in downtown Orlando to unveil their ambitious plan - the "Florida Project", which we now know as Walt Disney World. More than half a century later, Disney continues to be an economic engine fueling Florida’s economy, jobs and tourism as shown in a new study just announced by OxfordEconomics. 📈 @Disney generated $40.3 billion in annual economic impact across the state. 💼 263,000 total jobs, or 1 out of every 32 jobs in Florida, are attributable to Disney. 🏬 #DisneyWorld works with 2,500 small businesses based in Florida. When announcing the “Florida Project,” Walt Disney said he hoped to “build something that would command the respect of the community.”As we look to the future, Disney will continue to invest in our communities and create a brighter future for all who live, work, and play in the state. Remember how The Walt Disney Company made us feel as kids? Disney is one of my all-time favorite brands because it was the first to make me believe that: 1. Dreams could come true. 🌙 2. We should all seek to find true love. ❤️ 3. Good things can happen to good people. 🏆 4. The world could be fair. ⚖️ In marketing, we often emphasize the fear of missing out (FOMO), but what if we took a page from Disney's playbook and inspired our audience to: 1. Dream 🛌 2. Imagine 🎨 3. Wonder 🤔 Marketing should do more than sell a product or service. It should make us feel excited, relieved, innovative, and imaginative about a better future. How did Disney make you feel? Or, what’s one of your favorite brands that inspires you? #Marketing #Inspiration #Motivation #Dreams #SocialMediaManager

Advice for someone new: ENJOY IT!!!! We do a really good job of taking things so seriously. Don’t go out and break the rules and ruin the opportunity but also don’t let one small thing stop you from reaching a goal. Michael Jordan, Oprah, and Walt Disney didn’t let a little obstacle stop them!!! Claim to fame: I went on a road trip to train an office on Ez-Mop which used to be my favorite campaign. I did not get in town until 4 AM due to unexpected delays. I slept an hour went to the leaders’ meeting went to the event and did $800 in the first 3 hours. The person I trained eventually became a mentor on the campaign! What can we learn from an incredible experience I just had with The Walt Disney Company? I needed to take care of a special and somewhat difficult request regarding a pass for a sold-out event. Honestly, I didn’t expect much, but Disney found a way to pull off their magic once again. Sure, the call was escalated three times, each time to the next appropriate team—however it was done without me having to push or coax. Every agent I spoke with was clear, fast, and genuinely in good spirits, truly embodying the “Magic of Disney.” They were all focused on one thing: making it happen. Thanks to their effort and dedication, my daughter will be extremely happy. What can we all learn from Disney? It's not just about the outcome, but the entire experience and the promise your brand lives up to. In the world of hospitality—and really any industry—this is what sets exceptional brands apart. When you make a promise to your guests, it's crucial that every touchpoint, every interaction, and every detail reflects that commitment. Building a brand isn’t just about flashy marketing or memorable logos; it’s about consistently delivering on your promise. This requires cultivating a winning culture where every team member, from the call centres to the front lines to the leadership, is aligned with the brand's values and dedication to exceeding guest expectations. A brand that lives up to its promise not only wins loyalty but also fosters a culture of pride and excellence within its team. When everyone is on the same page, working towards the same goal, that’s when the real magic happens. Just like Disney, when your brand embodies its promise in every action, you don’t just create satisfied guests—you create lasting advocates. #Disney #WaltDisneyWorld #WaltDisney #GuestExperiences #Brand #BrandPromise #Culture #Branding #Magic
