5 Weeks at JPMorgan: Insights and Experiences It has been 5 weeks since I started my internship at JPMorganChase with the Trade and Working Capital Product Delivery team, and I have to say I am loving every second of it. Here are a few things I have learned about the industry and the culture of the bank. ·     The bank incentivizes networking and promotes events where people have the opportunity to learn about innovations and all the great things the bank has been doing. After every event, there’s a networking session where people can talk about their departments and connect with each other. ·     There is nobody too high in the ranks to reach out to. The bank has a great culture that allows people to get to know each other, and those in senior and leadership positions are eager to meet with people and talk about their work and career paths. ·     Trade is an amazing universe, and it pivots to so many different branches and departments. Global trade connects the whole world. Everything we consume probably has something that came from somewhere else, and it is all thanks to international trade and the exchange of goods. 🌟 Event: Barclays Internship Festival  📍 Location: Barclays Northampton Campus 🚀 I am thrilled to share that I have recently been selected and participated in the Barclays Internship Festival. It was an amazing event filled with insightful and interactive sessions, covering a wide range of areas: different roles available at Barclays, mindfulness, networking opportunities, face painting and the experience of being able to design our tote bags. 🎓 Internship Exploration: This festival provided me with a good look into all the potential sectors available to me from Project Management to Data Analyst. This allowed me to see the multiple paths available and that I could get to explore them all with a Barclays Internship I was assured that I shouldn't be in a rush to decide which role I want to pursue as some of the graduates at Barclays I spoke to told me they didn't follow a straight path and were allowed to explore different areas to find what suits them the best during their internships. This massively boosted my confidence as I'm currently not sure about what career interests me the most but after the festival, I would say my current top picks are: SWE, Cybersecurity and AI Engineering. 🤝Networking Galore: Im extremely grateful for the chance to talk to previous interns of Barclays and the current Graduates. These networking sessions were not just informative but a fantastic chance to expand my insight into the process of getting an internship with Barclays and that it's not just my technical skills, but people skills are also essential when trying to secure one of these opportunities in the near future. 📈Next Steps: Energised and ready to apply the insights gained at the festival to my current and future endeavours. Day 8 of the Summer Internship Competition at CIB ⭐ Today, I presented on Customer Rights in the Banking Sector. I emphasized the importance of knowing your rights, which include fair treatment, transparency, privacy, complaint resolution, and financial education. Understanding these rights empowers customers to make informed decisions and ensures they receive fair and transparent services from their banks. It was a great experience to delve into this topic and share insights with my colleagues at CIB. Looking forward to the next steps in this internship!
