We are excited to shine a spotlight on the incredible work happening across the province of Quebec by the recipients of the BCFC + BOF B3 Capacity Development Program. This week, meet the organizations from this region, where our grant recipients are making an impact in their communities. We’re proud to support these projects that drive change! Stay tuned each week as we continue to highlight the exceptional efforts of the recipients from provinces across the country and their contributions coast-to-coast. About the program: This 8-month program, with a national scope, is designed to provide Black-focused, Black-led, Black-serving (B3s) non-profits & charities with funding and capacity development support that positions them to collaborate, lead and deliver community-determined solutions that effectively address identified community priorities and needs. After an extensive evaluation process, we have selected twenty-five B3 organizations from across Canada that deliver initiatives in one or more of BOF’s priority areas. All recipients will receive $20,000 in funding to allocate according to their needs. Recipients will also receive coaching from certified Black professionals, expert training in revenue generation and non-profit management, and access to curated resources for building healthy, adaptable, and community-responsive organizations. BOF is pleased to partner with Black Canadian Fundraisers' Collective’ (BCFC) and delivery partners Imagine Canada, Management Advisory and Consulting (MAS), & the International Coaching Federation, Vancouver Chapter. This program is made possible through funding commitments from TD Ready Commitment and the RBC Foundation. Additionally, through our partnership with BCFC, regional program funding has been secured from philanthropic partners – United Way Maritimes Halifax, African Nova Scotian Affairs, and Toronto Foundation – to prioritize the participation of fifteen B3 organizations selected specifically from three communities (Halifax Regional Municipality and East Hants; the Greater Toronto Area; and Windsor-Essex County) in the pilot program. #BOFB3Program #WeBackBlack #NationalImpact Afrique au Féminin - Women Center Cote des Neiges Black Community Association African Canadian Development & Prevention Network (ACDPN)

We are thrilled to announce the recipients of the BCFC + BOF Grant and B3 Capacity Building Program! Please view the full list of the selected recipients on our website https://lnkd.in/gw9NdspP  After careful consideration and an extensive evaluation process, we have selected twenty-five B3 organizations from across Canada delivering initiatives in one or more of Black Opportunity Fund’s priority areas. All recipients will receive $20,000 in funding to allocate according to their needs. In addition, recipients will receive invaluable coaching support from certified professional Black coaches, as well as access to training in key areas of non-profit management, delivered by expert facilitators. All applicants will have access to specifically curated online resources covering topics critical in building and maintaining healthy, adaptable, and community-responsive organizations. This 8-month program, which is national in scope, is designed to provide Black-focused, Black-led, Black-serving (B3s) non-profits and charities with funding and capacity development support that positions them to collaborate, lead, and deliver community-determined solutions that effectively address identified community priorities and needs. We thank all the 423 applicants who submitted applications for consideration. As usual, the significant demand from organizations that are doing amazing work, outweighed the available funding and program spaces, so the adjudication team had to make some very difficult decisions. We are extremely pleased with the amazing group of organizations who have been selected for this innovative pilot.
