I found this so interesting. The best analogy might be the lottery winner who finds himself/herself broke a couple years after purchasing the winning ticket. This is why I believe it is so important to have people involved in the organization who won't be overwhelmed with this sudden influx of capital, have the strategic focus to move full speed ahead, and use a portion of those proceeds to develop the talent in the nonprofit to insure long term success.
