Frameworks for faithfulness @work and @home | Certified EOS Implementer® | FamilyOS Guide | Redemptive Entrepreneur
Celebrater or party pooper? Allyson Wall is the ultimate celebrater. She has offered to throw birthday parties for people the first time she met them! She intentionally gets people to write notes of encouragement or makes people actually say nice things to the guest of honor at dinners instead of just having another meal. And occasionally, she has no problem telling the waitress it's your birthday, even when it’s not, just so they bring out a dessert and sing you a song! Me, not so much. I grew up talking about sports or weather or maybe something serious, but celebrating something wasn't very normal. Celebrating felt like making it too much about myself… and we should just keep our heads down and go about our business. But sometimes I felt like the party pooper. I think there is some wisdom to stay humble and keep grounded, but I have also learned to appreciate celebrating along the way. A key learning from Dan Sullivan & Benjamin Hardy, PhD was to measure the gain more than the gap. What are the incremental wins along the way? Little stones of remembrance to appreciate the journey? So....I recently got to celebrate facilitating my 200th all day EOS Worldwide session! What a privilege to get to coach 35+ teams on how to implement the simple and complete tools to achieve vision, traction, and healthy in entrepreneurial lead organizations. And particularly with a family that I love seeing their progress. At least for today, I am not going to focus on the next 100 and just try to appreciate the journey so far.

Day 5 of 12 Days of Christmas: The Art of Giving and Receiving 🎁 Today, as we continue our holiday countdown, we focus on a beautiful balance – the act of giving and receiving. It's a dance of nurturing ourselves and embracing the gifts of life wholeheartedly. 🤗 Ask yourself: How do you care for your spirit daily? How do you open your heart to receive the abundance around you? To celebrate this day, I'm thrilled to share a special video. In it, I reveal a practice that I often share with my clients, one that helps to restore and rejuvenate the spirit. This practice is my gift to you today, to help you connect deeply with yourself and the world around you. So take a deep breath, watch this video, and allow yourself to fully receive the message. Let it be a reminder to live life with an open heart, ready to give and eager to receive.

Ever had an argument for 20+ years? I will go first. I don’t know if you know this but the name Davis actually means “ridiculously competitive” I did not grow up in a participation trophy family. I am related to three valedictorians. If you are not number one, you’ve lost. My family is the most important thing to me on the planet, however, every year we have this argument about putting these blinking, dancing, singing reindeer on the roof of my parent’s house and they refuse, something about keeping the neighbors up at all hours and not being popular in the neighborhood they have peacefully lived in for 30 years. We will never win any kind of Christmas decorations contest without the reindeer and or the blowup snowman in the front lawn. I can neither confirm nor deny that this is the silliest argument, but we still have it – every year. Somehow, however, I bet you can beat it. Silliest holiday (does not have to be Christmas) decoration argument you get into? I will leave some examples in the comments and then it is your turn. Bonus points for pics and gifs. HILARIOUS ANSWERS ONLY.
